Do you guys reply to all applications, even if not accepted? Sent in the form 3-4 days ago, and haven't gotten anything back yet. I assume it's just a backlog, and you guys are busy.

There are tons of different definitions for being successful, one factor that separates most of them is the expectation of outcomes.

When it comes to Artur, he joined us as a student a bit over 2y ago with around 400$ in his BR.

In that time period, he moved up in stakes and is beating NL50 and NL100 with 2bb/100 over 500K hands.

I think you have to keep things realistic. To expect that a losing NL10 player will crush NL500z within 2y is simply borderline delusional.

Personally, I think that Artur has done a very good job since he joined BTS and his progress as a player isn't over yet. Vamos!

What's the minimum volume in say the last 6 months that has to be played? I'm a mttsng/mtt player looking to transition to cash games. (Either zoom NLH or PLO).

Really want to apply but I guess it will be a no at this point but ready to grind through to a sample size if needed.

It's very player dependent. What we mostly suggest is for you to send the application anyways. There's no commitment on that.

BluffTheSpot is happy to announce the addition of a new coach:

Matt
25 years old professional that has been playing poker for a little over 3 years after finishing university degree in Finance & Accounting in 2016. Followed BluffTheSpot strategies as a student for one year and now my main objective for the following years is to try to become the best player I can be and share my process with the students.
Nowadays mostly playing NL200-600 on several networks. 2020 will be the year in which IŽll try to start playing some volume on NL1K+.
Since last year, IŽve been getting interested in the live scene as well.

Bluff The Spot is having a 30 percent off sale on everything; Black Friday, November 27.

The sale last 24 hours.

I figure, who doesn't like a good sale-- especially since the MMASherdog High Stakes Course is included?

Its really not that far fetched. As if becoming a online 500z player is so extraordinary and is such a high hanging fruit for attainment in the poker world. Its tough but its not like becoming a winning reg in highrollers among the jason koons, stephen chidwicks, ...

Poker is tough but in the current environment with the new software advances learning and studying poker properly is far more attainable with the right area of focus and/or coach. In the past it was more trial and error - it simply does not need to be that way anymore. With enough hard work and commitment, and most importantly led down the proper path of improvement, it can be done, and possibly even in shorter time frame. Vamooo on that.

a 500z zoom reg is better than Jason Koon at NLHE cash games. It's not close

You completely missed the point of the post. Was referring to the highroller tournament scene being super competitive and it would be unreasonable to assume just anyone with limited poker experience can reach those levels within a short time frame (of 2 yrs). While becoming a winning 500z room is much more attainable and less barriers of entry than that of becoming a super highroller reg, mainly the massive capital requirements.

However, I'll humor you and address this point. If you are only talking about online NLHE cash games, I might have to agree as that is not a format Jason Koon probably has put much work into. His opportunity cost of just playing online tournaments and playing live tournaments // cash games would far exceed the need to want to become a online cash game crusher in the current online landscape.

In your actual post you wrote "500z zoom reg is better than Jason Koon at NLHE cash games" and this is quite subjective, once you include live poker, the definition of someone being better is much harder to quantify. Do we measure that by how well rounded Koon is in his theory? Or do we look at totally cumulative winnings? What if Jason Koon has won 600k/yr playing in live high stakes cash games versus an online grinder who made 150k/yr playing 500 zoom on the computer. What is more impressive or who is the better player? I do not know the answer with 100% certainty and you certainly do not either. Sorry for the derail bluffthespot -- couldnt' help myself here. All the best.

A winning 500 zoom reg is close to impossible to attain in 2 years.

Your argument is on par with saying Dan Blizrian is a better player than a 500 zoom regular because he made more money playing poker in a calendar year than the 500 zoom regular.

Making money is not how you assess poker skill. Not even close.

How could you possibly know what it takes when you are a struggling 10nl player yourself?

ref: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/6...65/?highlight=

Someone such as yourself should strive to move up and hope my statement is true instead of refuting my post filled with all your strawman arguments. I'll leave it at that and not responding to your post or points from here on out - at least until your buyin cost more than the burger I am eating rn.

Re: BluffTheSpot CFP -> NLH and PLO Poker coaching by elite pros

Make 2020 Your Year! - Get Paid To Play And Study Poker

Everybody serious about Poker knows the importance of the mind and the huge effect it can have on the quality of your plays.

But obviously, Poker isn't like tennis, chess or any other standard sport. If you play against the best tennis player on earth, you are going to lose for sure. But if you challenge the best Poker player, chances are you get away from the battle as the winner. At least in the short run.
And while variance keeps Poker alive, it can be challenging to deal with massive swings.
If you are too results-orientated, variance might crush you, and you will never reach your full potential.

But now you have the chance to decrease the impact variance has on your game and concentrate on what is really important to make money in the long run: Focussing on becoming the best poker player you can be.

Because BluffTheSpot partnered with a private investor, who is willing to pay you to play Poker while you receive free Elite BluffTheSpot coaching!

This way, you establish a monthly income, won't risk your own money, and enjoy a variance-free learning process with some of today's top-pros on your side.
Sounds too good to be true already? Well, it even gets better!

That's why you will also get:
  • 1on1 coaching to find and fix your leaks, so you win more money faster. As well as weekly BluffTheSpot group coachings.
  • MMAsherdog's Preflop Bible (worth $499) for free!
  • Access to our huge library of recorded coachings
  • Access to the exclusive BluffTheSpot forum, where you will find peers who are working as hard as you do.
  • The ability to earn bonuses like extra-cash and MMAsherdog's Ultimate Course!

And all of that without risking your own money!
All you need to do is enjoying your variance-free learning process, while we take care of all the rest! And you don't even have to risk your own money!

Who is this deal for?

At this stage, we only accept players who take their career seriously and play at stakes from NL10 to NL200.
Places are limited, so you have to be focussed on Poker, work hard, and grind good volume. This is not a freeroll for fun-players. More experienced players will have priority.

What's your part?

As said, you have to be someone who is working hard to achieve goals and doesn't give up too quickly. So we expect you to study and grind as much as you can. You have to be in time for your coaching sessions and adequately prepare for them upfront.
You also have to rake in at least 500$ a month to qualify for the deal.

Where can you find more information, and where can I apply?

You will find all you need to know and the application form here: Apply Now!
