Hi, I am new to HU poker. Never play it before but I'm really interested in learning.
I like to ask how much BI do I need for a normal HU bankroll?

Bankroll Management is a hot topic. There are many different ways to approach this.

Let me give you some quick notes:

a) You are VERY VERY disciplined: 20 Buyins is enough. Be ready to move down once below 10 BI. You gotta have a good mental game and not view moving down as a loss.

b) You are normally disciplined: 40-50 Buyins. Move down when below 30.

c) You have problems of playing to high etc, aka not so disciplined:

Have at least 70 Buyins of the limit u wanna play. Move down if below 50

Very interesting videos will think of a coaching session in the future, always wanted to learn some 6 max just for more game selection purposes than my regular fullring games. But I hope you dont mind but can I ask you a question about video no.2? (just been thinking about it since you mentioned it and would love some sort of answer)

Q: When villan with a 10% Check raise frequencey on the flop reraises on the flop, Hero should be cautious since hitting two pair or better on the flop is also roughly 10%,
Could this be applied in a fullring game (obviously I know you specialise in 6max and HU and theres more stats hero should consider ex:wtsd % vpip/pfr) but would it make that much of a differnce in fullring or would that theory still hold up as mostly nutish?

and second question would 20% be seen as not total bull**** really but 10% nut/10% draw/bluff ie 50% nut, 25% draw, 25% bluff, if there is no draws on the board could I then say well since theres no draws, theres a 25% hes bluffing and a 75% nutish facor? i'm guessing this depends on the players other stats since it could aso be 75% bluff, 25% nut, and if so I'm guessing I should be looking at vpip/pfr and general tightness of the player to see which percentage would seem to be more true?

- not sure if my question is to general - but any attempt to answer would be appreciated.

I´ll answer here, but pls post regardless.

1) => Yes, its same in fullring, precentages never change


2) 20% gets difficult, because as you know, you gotta figure out how his range is distributed. I give more details in the course how to do it ))
Short vague answer: Look what he´s doing and draw smart conclusions.


3) different board textures: Some people raise 5% on certain textures and 40% on others and have 20% overall.

Same principle like 2: you have 20% as a starting point. From there you watch out for evidence.



4) WTS stats and such can differ from HU, as same as vpip and pfr obviously . They are roughly in the same neighbourhood.

But you´re playing on a level where small differences have huge effects. So be careful when applying to fullring.

The thought process is 100% the same though.

Would you recommend the mastermind course for someone who's been playing husngs for a few months but no hu cash experience, starting at NL25 ?
Or would I better saving my money for now and getting some hu cash experience first ?

It depends on your Bankroll.
Usually i´d say Nl 50 although technically anybody can profit from it.

If you´ve been doing fine at the HUSNGS, then i´d say its a no-brainer to sign up.

If not, of course thats a way to improve, but you shouldn´t invest like 80% of your BR.

What do you find in your course that you don't find out on cardrunners or other sites?

There is nothing comparable available to HU Mastermind, so keep that in mind when reading. Its a bit like comparing apples to bananas.

• This is the exact stuff i have tought 3 independent people who crushed 1k and 2k in less than a year.

• But you get what you pay for. Imo most online videos have very poor quality and people don´t reveal all of what they know.

• You get mass production and typically one hour long videos contain the information that can be reduced to 2-3minutes. Not cool imo.

• You get PRECISE information and PRECISE instructions and homework from me. Have you seen that in one single video EVER published on the mass producing sites ? I mean, they probably have over 10.000 videos... have you seen it once and only once ?

• I teach long-term winning poker. What i teach will help you, even if you freeze yourself into an icebox and wake up in 10 years.
• You will still be able to crush poker. Mass producers typically teach short term tricks and show Q and J high calls to impress you. But thats simply misleading, but smart marketing.

Its like a one time long-term investment in yourself.


Ok, i´ve been a CR member when starting poker. I´m a Taylor Caby fan.
$30 or whatever they charge per month is cheap. But there´s a saying " you get what you pay for".


TLDR: You can buy tools that last half year and always buy a new tool again. Or you buy one that will last.
