The book is worth only a fraction unless you see the videos. I have decided to take this challenge on with one student. I mean, after all it easier to say "buy my course, buy my course" than to show proof that the material works.

At the numerator I guess we have:
(p(called)*(stack-vpip) : %we are called * amount risked
(1-p(called))*(vpip+3betsize)) : %Villain folds * pot before our shove
Mainly at the numerator we have what we win?

But at the denominator I can't understand these 2 terms
p(called)*(stack+vpip)
and
p(called)*(stack-vpip)

P(called) :

This is the probability of you being called. In other words, which part of his range does your opponent call?

stack :

his remaining stack (what he has left after 3betting)

vpip:

voluntarily put into put (size of his 3bet in this case)

In practical words:

Our EV = Dead money we win if he folds + we win when getting all-in - we lose when getting all in


1) If he folds pre, we win with x %.

x is defined by our presupposed frequency of him folding

2) If he calls the shove pre, we win with y % his whole stack and loose our stack with 1-y %

y is defined by his range vs our hand


We have to make sure that 1) is bigger than the sum of the events in 2)

I don't write a lot in forums, but have been playing poker for a lot of years.
I have a lot of live poker experience, and for a time i made a living playing live tournaments, so i have a lot of experience, but was on a downswing/supertilt some years ago, that ate my whole roll, as well as my belief in my own play.

I recently started again, but find i need more knowledge to bet the games at mid and high stakes.
Therefore i have decided to get my basics in order, and start rebuilding my game from scratch playing NL2 and NL5 for a while.

I am writing this little epilog, just to give you an idea of who i am
I am not a beginner, so please read my review below with that in mind.

Review of No Bull**** 6Max Poker (Only the book)

This book promises to make everyone who reads it and apply the instructions on how to play as described a winning player, and after having read the book and thinking over the suggestions in there i tend to agree.

It is very simple, straight forward and as said there is no bull in this book.
You get a chart you can look at, and if you play accordingly, i believe you will be making strong moves and winning in the long run for sure.
Its like in this position you play this range, this way preflop, flop, turn and river, very basic, so anyone can do it.

There are no long intellectual ways of explaining these strategies, and i don't expect long dissertations in the videos either, i believe they will more or less contain hands that are examples of good and bad play, followed by explanations why they are, and more than likely a lot of homework that is mandatory if you want to become better.

This will not be like school, because in school you often have no idea why you are learning something, but with Gordon there is a clear goal in sight, making you a winning player…
And for you to become a winner, you need to know why you are making moves, and not just do them, with the why in place too, you will be a whole lot better equipped to make plays.

If you are expecting to become an expert in 6Max, you will be disappointed.
The book covers basic strategies, that for sure will make you a winner at the lower stakes, but to become an expert you will need these basic strategies as a solid foundation from where you can develop your game into a more sophisticated strategy.
You will of course run into situations that are not specificly described in the book many times over, but this course is not meant to teach you the difficult stuff, that is step 2 of your poker education.

The mistake a lot of players make (Me included) is to learn the basics of the game, (Rules and hand strength) and then start playing at a level you think is worth your time, mostly with too small a bankroll too.
In these games there are a lot of players, that already know a lot more than you, and you will most likely be outplayed and loose a lot of your money.
This is what most players that never make it does, do not make the same mistakes, get your fundamentals in order and build from there, that is the mark of a long term winning player.
Do it with Gordon or any other way, just study the game and your own play, keep whats working and root out the bad plays as you go.

If you are smart you will get this book, and i believe the videos will benefit you too
I know they will if what i have seen from Gordon Gekko's hand so far is any kind of a measurement stick.

One last thought i would like to leave the reader with.
On the surface this book is very basic, but you shall not forget that with more knowledge you become a better player, and most of your opponents at the lower stakes don't want to put forward the effort you are, and therefore you evolve into a better player while they stay where they are or move forward at a slow rate.

I do not believe i am biased, but if i am, it is towards Gordon, because as said i like the way he is direct and leaves out the fluff filler.
