New investor here from the US. What kind of non-stars currency would be desirable in the perspective of a MTTer selling shares? 80% of the threads in the MP only accepts Stars

I have below:

-Paypal
-BoA/ChaseQP
-Bitcoins
-WPN(BCP/ACR)

Or is there another payment transfer option I should pursue?

If you wanted to work out longer-term buys from regular sellers I think some of the US relocated players would do BoA and Chase. I did this a year ago with a regular buyer and we settled up every month. Bitcoin is probably an option for sellers who are into that currency.

what's the general etiquette for using paypal? Heard a lot about not mentioning online poker. Is the msg I typically write okay? Don't want to get anyone in trouble.

Hey guys, I'm interested in staking people here but everyone uses transfers via Pokerstars. Since I live in France, PS transfers are disabled.

Do people accept other methods of payment ?

I can do Bank Transfers or Paypal. But I wonder if paypal is ever used because of the absurd fees they have.

Package ethics question (in this case referring to a live poker scenario, but I couldn't find a better place to post this):

Player A creates a WSOP package for events occurring the second week of WSOP consisting of several $1500 events. The package does not include the Colossus (lower buyin, first week of WSOP).

Player A arrives at the WSOP pre-package and ships the Colossus for a million dollars. Player A now wants 100% of his action during the entire WSOP.

Is it at all inappropriate for Player A to cancel the package?

If yes (inappropriate), does your answer change if Player A expressly states to investors before selling the package that he intends on taking all of his own action in the event of a big early score?

Hi forum. Newbie here. Looking into getting staked and wondering what you guys look for in terms of track record/results. Is there a minimum ROI people usually look for. What sort of mark up is considered fair and what ROI/sample sizes are required to demand such markup?

I have setup a profile on Poker Market. Would you recommend this site/go elsewhere?

Cheers

Some people use paypal, I think a bigger issue than fees is the fear of getting scammed due to people being able to dispute payments for non-tangible transactions in my experience. (I had this problem with selling virtual items in various games over the years before i found poker)

Funny that this topic has been mentioned so much -

I am US and willing to buy shares of most (as I see them) profitable SS threads via BOA / Venmo / PP / bitcoin

If you are a regular seller let me know and I will discuss with you. Looking to invest ~$5-25 abi overall. I know that range is wide, but depending on player and MU it varies. I am willing to settle less frequently than daily, not necessarily less than monthly.

How much ROI do you earn staking on players. Honestly?
Is there a down side to this thing?

Hey 2p2 crew!!

I'm a DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) player here, and wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for a forum, either here or could be far away elsewhere, in which to post that I am seeking a partner(s) for a quick short-term staking deal. I dont know if this kind of thing is done much in my field of dfs, I mostly doubt it, but the concept isnt any different from poker staking. And in my case anyhow it is much more lucrative for investing parties (from what I can tell of your ROI samples anyway). If you're wondering why a dfs pro would need a staker, the answer is that I am hoping to find a sugar daddy to front for just a week or two in order to hone and perfect a method. My algorithm is specifically for a certain game environment, and will take two-three days to test fully, with cashouts sure to come inbetween as well, but the wife just won't allow me to frontload that much of my bankroll at once yet.

I've been playing full time for about 2 months now, making a sizable amount daily. I have the track record to prove my success and income. I'd be offering a 50/50 split of profits with a short period of time with a reevaluation for both side at the end.

How long is typical for poker players to stake a single deal? 2 weeks? 1 day just to start? 1 month? I just want to do what is normal. The staking relationship has worked well for me with real life friends the past couple of weeks, but I need someone with experience in the staking field. I'll of course be happy to post all of my credentials and give more details to potential backers wherever it is my official post ends up. Just need pointed in the right direction.

All together I'm only looking for between 3k-5K, with a guaranteed ROI that is extremly high which i secure safely thanks to my cash game numbers (Which I can link to as well). I'm sure as poker players ya'll understand that the cash games pay for the tournaments lol.

If someone could please let me know where the right place to make my own post is, I'd be much obliged! It could be here at 2p2, or it could be elsewhere at a very different site. Just hoping to find the right community to meet someone or a few people who are willing to work with me for mutual short term gains. And of course I'll prove identity in whatever way is typical, I can't even begin to imagine the number of scammer troll type persons that must come through here in this sort of business. Rest assured I'm a real person looking for advice on finding a real business partner.

Thanks in advance for help and answers. Sorry if this is the wrong place to begin this, but it seemed as good as anywhere else to seek the proper forum. Cheers!

DW

Hi guys,
I'm new to selling action in the marketplace and I'm wondering if there is a standard protocol around people who reserves shares.
I.e. should I be PM'ing to request funds at some point or should I just assume people will ship in time for the events I'm playing?

I hope this is the right place to post this. Thanks in a advance

just set clear conditions in OP. if u have a firm deadline when funds need to be sent by, then any reserves who havent sent by the deadline r no action. ofc sometimes there will be exceptions but those should be confirmed in the thread by both parties

Hello everyone,

I never used the 2+2 marketplace, but i have used another staking site for many years, so sorry if i use different terms for things.

The other site i use is pretty small and its getting hard to sell out consistently, so im thinking about trying out the 2+2 mp to sell some shares, but since i never used it i decided to post here first and see if what i normally do would transfer here naturally or if i would have to make some adjustments

So, i'll explain below what i normally do selling shares and if you guys can take a look and see if that would be fine to sell here and would actually sell, please let me know

- I normally sell 40% of my daily schedule, which is not a fixed schedule but a lot of the mtts are the same on a daily basis. So, its normally a $200 schedule, I sell 40% with Stakeback(meaning the first $200 made goes toward a initial pay back of the share value at the same rate they were bought, and only after that the profits are split), and a p/v(which i think its called mark-up here) of 25%

So i'll put an example below:

$200 For MTTs on a given day
Sell 40% total
With Stakeback
1% = $2.50

say on this event i cash for $100, each share would payout $1.25
say on this event i cash for $400, each share would payout $4.50

Is this something that would sell out here on 2+2 mp ?

Thanks for reading and please let me know what u think

Thanks

just clarifying that when i say above "each share would payout", i forgot to write down that 1 share = 1%, thought i just should make that clear for the example

There are two common ways people sell here: stakeback or mark-up

Stakeback is usually for 100% of the cost, with profits split in the backer's favour

Mark-up is usually expressed in decimal, for example 10% mark-up is 1.1, and it is standard that you would be taking a decent percentage yourself

I think what you're suggesting is a mix of the two?

If you look through the threads, you'll get an idea of what sells and what doesn't

For a newcomer, it is wise to offer a generous deal and references due to increased risk for investors

Hello Everyone

I am Justfoldlol mainly been a low stakes player but had success playing satellites and FTed 215 109 44 and other Bounty builders, I found satellites tedious in the end with the increased variance. Currently not played since the WCOOP. Not sure how attractive my stats will be to people 20.2% ROI. Ideally would be looking a short term staker in which I could excel and move to a longer term relationship feel free to message me any questions.

Matt

Hi,

Does anyone have a solution to the fact that stars require all funds "must be wagered before a withdrawal can be requested" ?

I'm a micro-stakes player and I've recently started buying shares in people. I currently have a lot of funds (in comparison to my normal bank roll) 101that need to be wagered before I can either transfer out, or to another player.

I've been playing a bit of zoom with some of it but there are two problems with that:

1. I've got as much chance of losing it as I have of keeping it
2. at the stakes I play, it will take me a really long time to get the funds available for transfer!

Curious to get feedback on this whether it's theoretically sound or practically feasible.

Let's say I wanted to sell 90% of a $215 for 80% of the share. That would mean that at 30% ROI the person would be making roughly 15% ROI and the break even point would be 11% ROI in the tournament.

Those being my results at the $30 version which is shorter stack depth increasing variance (it's a HU zoom PKO), although the ABI is probably closer to $40 as rebuys are not included. Best placings within that 51 (probably closer to 60-65 if including rebuys) game sample are:

1/147, 2/166, 2/155, 3/171, 3/145, 4/153, 4/121, 6/113, 7/119, 17/132, 18/152

Does the ROI within the $30 tournament justify the markup or would investors just be too averse to the whole situation as 90%+ are just non-starters, almost always and almost always regardless of previous ROI?

From my own standpoint, anything beyond 20% ROI would be a great improvement as even at just 20% of the share, 20% ROI would mean 133% improvement over what I would say is my expectation in the $22 Saturday HU ($22 v $52).

Hey all new to selling action on here. I play on acr as robertcooperiii and have sold action before on another site and never had any problems always kept my investors informed normally after each break. Are there investors that go over hand histories to help their investment see where they have made some mistakes in certain situations to help improve their game to become more profitable. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or comments would love the feedback.
