Re: ***Official Staking Discussion Thread: Use this thread for Selling Shares advice/questions*

Is there anybody out there that is making any money investing in online tournament shares over a large/medium sample?

It's just a few days I discovered this place and I only made small, cautious bets, but still I've been losing so constantly and badly that made me feel to write this post

The smart investors do. You need to remember that buying shares of huge fields mtts will result in a loss fairly often and rarely a huge 1000+% return.

Ye, I'm really not an expert but actually I had the impression that many players wouldn't offer those packages if they wouldn't have rakeback.

I think as well it's possible, but can I ask you guys do you actually know at least one person that does it and that it's worth is time ( so that he earns like 700/900+ dollars per month on avg.)?

It's not that I'm criticizing all the others though, I actually find kind of cool the fact that you can bet on something you like without any bookmaker involved, and I guess it's anyway better EV than betting on horses or sport, just maybe "investors" it's not the proper word to call ourselves

Yea I know guys who are up tons from the marketplace, and they are generally savvy and cautious. When they do buy action it's normally a huge number or 'res all'

Does anyone have any idea what a standard split would be for a one time cash game stake? As in no makeup?

No makeup, over a set # of hands. The standard split would be somewhere in the lines of 70/30 to 80/20, backers favor + stakeback.

Been here for a while but never paid much heed to this section. In the selling stares online thread why do people sell their package by mentioning I wanna sell % of my action instead of mentioning what the cut would be?

Is the latter not allowed on there or something or is everyone a shark & don't need real backing?

Because people can buy percents of the cut less than the whole thing. So if I was selling 50% of myself, you could buy 10%, and you would receive 10% of the cut.

Its not clear what you mean by 'the latter' as there are multiple ways of selling action. The example I used is what we call selling 'at markup' and is just the easiest and most common.

I think I understand you now... So if someone was to sell 50% of a package and someone else bought a 50% share. He would pay full price in actual for the package but get a 50% cut is that it?

No. If you buy 50% of someones action in the markup system you get 50% of the cashes.

Say I sold the $215 Sunday Million @ 1.2 markup.
215*1.2 = $258

If you bought 10%, you would pay me $25.80 and receive 10% of my cashes in that tournament.

Re: ***Official Staking Discussion Thread: Use this thread for Selling Shares advice/questions*

I have question regarding payouts.

I play mostly on EURO sites (stars.fr/winamax etc). I want to start selling some packages up to about 100-200. Investors can send using moneybookers/stars.com. However if i cash big i can only cashout using banktransfer which takes a few days.

How is this dealt with? Do i need to upfront my wins or is it ok to send back a few days later? (since you cant send money on .fr and i have to banktransfer which takes 2-3 days)

Thanks.

Re: ***Official Staking Discussion Thread: Use this thread for Selling Shares advice/questions*

Hello, I was trying to sell action on here but I made a lot of errors and had to get a mod to lockup both of my threads. So I'd like to get some feedback here before attempting to make a 3rd one.

Do you think this would sell? Or if there are suggestions or errors please lemme know....

Hey, guys

I've re-modified my previous package due to a mixup. I'd like to give investors a choice between a MU or Stakeback deal & see how it goes.

The 1st one would be 1.05 MU.
The 2nd would be a stakeback deal with 80/20 (investor's favor.)

State which one you prefer.

Schedule

THE HOT 16.50
THE BIG $11
THE HOT 7.50
THE HOT 5.50
27 KO 30K GTD
THE HOT $55
$33 8K GTD
27 KO 20K
THE HOT $44
THE BIG 27.50
NIGHTLY TWENTY FIVE $55
THE HOT $22
$27 KO 4K GTD
$27 6K GTD
13.50 KO 10K GTD
8.80 5K GTD
THE HOT $11

With 1.05 MU
$418.3X1.05= $439.22
1% $4.39
5% $21.96
10% 43.92

Stakeback 80/20 (Investors favor)without MU
418.3
1% 4.19
5% 20.92
10% 41.83

2+2 References
Sinology
Abramelin

Note: Any unused funds may be used to buyin to other tournaments.
If it doesn't sell within schedule time I may bump it up til the following day.

Please ship to scraeling on stars thanks!

well the markup deal is a much better offer for investors imo. It seems like it is written properly.

You got a point there... 80/20 seems standard thou..

Any deviations higher would just look out of place...

Stakeback there is no MU. If you think you are worth more then you increase the cut in your favor - thats the adjustment you make there.

The second pack you put up today was fine - it is just very rare to sell up to 95% at a 1.05 MU. For the smaller packs like this generally you would sell 50/60% at the MU you choose. If you sold 50% for example you provide 50% of the buyins yourself (less the extra $ from MU you charge) and get 50% of cashes. Wheras stakeback you get 20% of profits (not cashes) for example.

Sup guys, i am a little bit confused about the market place approvel.
I requested for it 4 days ago and it says it takes a week to get the approvel. So i understand that it takes some time.

However if i go to my control panel it says that Marketplace is approved? (it does not say 'approved with any other groups except EDF) However i cant start a thread. Am i missing something?

See pic below:

On the right it seems to indicate you have requested to join, not that you have joined. So therefore it seems you are not in the 'marketplace approved' group.

Ah ok thanks. So the actual group name is 'Marketplace Approved'. Figured the group was just called 'Marketplace' before i requested to join

Thanks for clearing that up.

Re: ***Official Staking Discussion Thread: Use this thread for Selling Shares advice/questions*

So I am looking to be actively buying action regularly in the upcoming time.
But I'm running into the problem pf transfer limits on PS. I got this mail in response:

Thank you for your email.

In order to provide an increase to your transfer limits, you will need to have made a minimum of 7 deposits to your account. You must also have earned 1,000 Lifetime VPPs before requesting an increase.

Unfortunately, you do not meet the requirement at this time and as such we are unable to comply with your request. Once you have met the above criteria, we can review your account for an increase.

Regards,

Mickael
PokerStars Security Team

As I don't play regularly myself, and on NL2 only, a 1000 lifetime VPP's is actually very difficult to attain for me (the dep[osits wouldn't be a problem).
Is there anyw ay for me to circumvent this?

Re: ***Official Staking Discussion Thread: Use this thread for Selling Shares advice/questions*

So im looking for a backer at the current moment. But firstly as ive never been stacked/sold a package before on 2+2 it will be hard to find a backer outright. I was thinking of trying to sell a weekly package where i estimate a total BR but without listing exactly which mtts ill be playing. Is this allowed? Is it commonly done?
I didn't really want to sell a pack for just 1-2 nights as there is a possibility i might have to miss a night or just skip several mtts as im currently on a gap year traveling without solid daily/nightly plans. But at the same time, maybe i will find it very hard to sell a weekly br package if it totals something like 300euro as people might not trust me yet as my first package sold.
Can i have some suggestions?
Also want to be playing on ps.fr, whats the normal way of receiving funds from 2+2 users? Is an ewallet the only real option?

Allowed? i think yes, but normal? No...
I think you will must list played tournaments anyways...
Investors want to know for what they investing and they can cofirm if you are playing it...
Will you invest in something what you dont know what it is exactly?
Better way could be list tournaments and refund not played ones... But not recommend this too...

- make everything clear as much as possible
- make pack for 1 day
- make sure you can play this day
- list tournaments
- not try to scam
- maybe more when you show first pack

Mainly ewallet i think and also think it will not be "easy way" with all ewallets stuff.
And cashouts?
