So player X has FT the nightly 100k multiple times, and you think he should only mark it up 5%?? Can i ask your reasoning

Let's just say for hypothetical sake that player X has the following stats..

Buy-in $100-$200 28% ROI over 300 games played... Profit= 11k
Buy-in $200-$400 39% ROI over 155 games played .... Profit= 13k

all this recent discussion needs to be moved to a dif thread. this has nothing to do with this summer/live stuff.

I would immediately assume he will regress towards the 2p2 mean unless he is just obliterating every other level as well. People love to filter their stats in whatever way makes them look best.

Here's the stats of player Y who is one of the best players on 2p2:

Buy-in $60-$100 30% ROI over 186 games
Buy-in $100-$200 -13% ROI over 2659 games
Buy-in $200-$400 5% ROI over 872 games

Actually it does... I am trying to educate myself by correlating my WSOP schedule to an online schedule.. And seeing if there is any conclusions to be made.. But you know this already...

I honestly was just confused by your 42k # and 100k #.. Everything else was pretty spot on imo..

I guess that's just my interpretation of expected ROIs.

Yep, seen this coming for a while. Frankly, I'm glad it seems to be happening sooner than later. Time to get some value back in the market.

Is there a rule regarding the time that must go by before bumping your selling threads?

+1
I left for awhile because the MUs were generally completely unreasonable. I like the way things look now, though there could be a few more sellers IMHO.

Had this come up selling privately last week, and I've seen it touched on in a few packages recently:

Say I include more turbo's/hypers than usual, how much should I be dropping the MU to make it more accurate/fair for investors. Assuming 1.15 as the baseline MU (which is what I sell at) I'll use a couple of examples:

1. A Turbo night package of twenty tourneys that includes maybe 1-2 regulars and 5- Hypers.

2. A package of 15 tourneys that is regularly sold but now has 2-4 Hypers added.

I kinda feel like #1 is an extremely different package from the norm and it could be argued that MU should be anywhere between 1 - 1.1. #2 I genuinely am not sure how much impact that could have on the value of the package of the whole.

I'm thinking that I should generally value the hypers at 0% markup and workout the av. to get a round MU figure for the total.

Anyway would appreciate everyones thoughts on this.

Imo for package:
1. You can probably get away with 1.07 or so (maybe up to 1.1) if you normally sell at 1.15
2. I'd just sell at your normal MU and include the hyper's at NMU

Hi there,

I'm looking for some information on the biggest staking deals that were made here.

Does anyone knows, and can share the details, of staking deals that were made in the past between investors and live tournament pros who are constantly winners in WSOP\EPT\WPT events with buy-ins ranging $1K-$10K and who were looking for a staking deal for smaller field, high roller and super high roller events ($10K +) ?

What kind of deals were made ? How were they done, logistically, in terms of funds transfer and guarantee ?

Thanks in advance.

This post reminded me of a wrestler... Irwin R. Schyster ... anyone remember him?

Do players send back winnings on the same site that we sent them on?

Usually, unless they say beforehand that they're going to return money wherever they hit a big score.

I think even in general, if someone wins a huge amount on a site other than which you sent him, he will need to send the winnings on the site he won on. I never make a specific clause in my packages of this because it is assumed.

Yeah true, strike the "unless they say beforehand..." part from my post. Small payouts from wherever you sent, larger ones wherever they hit.

I am going to have to make sure with the player then, because I don't have accounts on other sites and I can't withdraw from those.

A good rule is to not buy action from tournaments on sites you don't or cannot play on.
