So your friend gives you all of the money to play in a tournament and you give him half your winnings? He's basically lighting his money on fire.

Markup is just a way to pay for the value of the player's skills so that both the player and the backer make money. On 2p2 the markup system is not generally meant to cover all of the buyins for the horse.

Hi all, my names Sam, im new to the site, but not to poker. Just really started taking it seriously recently and thought that maybe being backed and/or staking may ease the issue of only playing micro (children are pretty bloody expensive), despite being paid very well, they tend to soak up a fair bit of my money!
I have been trying to PM some of the people i have recognised on here to ask what their opinion is, but apparently i cant message/find how to message them. Obviously ratsella is pretty much the name i see everywhere on here and would love to discuss this with him (?)/(not meaning to offend if female!) Any response/PM would be appreciated. And hope to get fully involved after being enthrawled for so many months! Many thanks for any assistance i can get!

You can make an 'official' staking request post here -
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/13...st-1-a-356185/

Or apply for some of the many offers in that staking subforum.

Making a few more posts and waiting a couple of days will enable your PMs making it easier to apply.

How hard is it to build up a rep on here? Ive got to keep posting on threads for 6 months for stuff i dont care about? Ive staked a couple of people and now I have put together a great package for tonight but cant show/tell anybody? I have been playing professionally for 18months and coming on 2+2 for about 2 years but just decided to sign up the other day to stake people this weekend (because of the wsop ME) I am a very honest person, just wanting to sell some action and build up a reputation. As a poker player all you have is reputation but I just keep myself to myself and just grind most people dont know I do this for a living I keep it to myself. I dont want people (in the outside world) knowing who I am. What I do want though is to be able to buy and sell shares in myself. I want to start splitting action. But there is nothing I can do about that?

thats fair enough but, am I just going to have to keep posting in pointless NVG threads for 6 months? As I have visited the site everyday for about 2 years and only want to get into the selling and buying now?
thanks

I've seen it but its not common. Post a thread and see if you get any interest. Only way to find out.

I am not sure if advertising for your own package in someone else's thread is going to help.

Yes, you will have to wait — that's compulsory, but the posting in pointless NVG threads is purely optional (as an aside, isn't the adjective "pointless" somewhat redundant in this context)

Nobody cares that you claim to have been lurking for two years; that's what they all say, and they're usually lying.

As you seem to have at least the next six months free from having to worry about setting up packages, maybe you could while away some of that time reading the rules - http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/10...hreads-549708/

The requirements are there for a reason, and if they wouldn't be waived for the Pope, the Queen or the UN S-G then you're probably gonna be SOL.

do very many ppl accept paypal to buy pieces of online tourneys?

No because it's against the rules of paypal.

Just curious how its different than the live shares which often list pp as option?

It isn't; Those people are just willing to break the rules of Paypal. Although I believe there are some European countries that allow Paypal to be used for gambling, the USA and most places are not allowed. Your paypal account will be permanently closed if you are caught using it to buy shares on 2p2.

Buyer beware.

1 It depends almost 100% on your approach.
2 You don't even need to be active, however attitude and the willingness to contribute is imporant.
3 yes you can, but having a thread in the 2+2 marketplace (or other forums) have requirements and that is a really good thing.
4 this just shows you have been super lazy and not planning at all. Then you blame the rules (which i think most are really happy are there) and that does not make you look better.
5 Who says thy're honest? and there is a shiiit ton you can do. however you choose to use words to make you look like a victim in a situation where it's pretty obv you have done mistakes which direct causes your problem, insteed of changing the situation. You have to understand reputation is build over time and that you show lack of patience and the effort to adapt to the rules.

Sorry if this was harsh, think it should help a bit tho

Hello 2+2ers,
I am a 23 year old professional poker player and have been for slightly over 3 years. I have a staker on euro sites (ipoker/ongame/microgaming) and I stake myself on pokerstars and full tilt. I have tracked cashes of over $2m, of which around $500k is profit. I am looking for a staker for some upcoming Ftops events & I am wondering what is the best way to go about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I play under the alias b8chatz on stars and bchat8 on full tilt. My Skype is bchat28 if anyone wishes to discuss further. Thanks GL all at the tables.
