Hi all. Marketplace newbie here.

I'm in the proccess of my first time selling shares online (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/16...no-mu-1028437/) and have a couple of questions. Would also appreciate any random tips regarding nuances of working through the marketplace that new people are often unaware of.

1. Is it standard, when selling for multiple trnys, to ship back after each event, or to ship back collectively at the end? To me the latter seems more logical - excepting perhaps a big score, in which case there are obvious merits to acting immediately - but I'd like to know what's accepted/expected.

2. During the time the trnys are running, what frequency of updates is expected? PMing everyone involved with every cash/win or more than that?

Will probably be back with more questions later, thanks in advance.

Keep a running total of your cashes/unused rebuys/KO's with every post in your rail thread. when all tourneys in your package are completed you can settle share balances with investors.

update about every hour or half hour or when you bust a tourney.

Start a thread in 'staking rails' and put your updates there. Put a link in your bap thread to your rail thread.

I guess I'm not sure how paypal works, but once you transfer the money out of paypal and into your bank account, how would they know(or even care for that matter)what you do with the money.I only ask because I see people in the live mp using paypal as a means for payment(including us).

paypal is fine for purchasing goods/services as long as it does not involve gambling/gaming as referenced by RW, seems pretty simple to me

hi all,
i am trying to set up my first package.
The package include 68 tournaments during scoop. ranging from 8-215$ buyin.
It is even possible to sell such an "big" package or should i split it? With no references?
How should i calculate the markup or should there be one at all.

my stats for 181+ entries

This sounds incredibly ambitious for a first package.

Even more so in that you have yet to acquire permission to start a staking/share/Marketplace thread.

Hi guys. Is it possible to sell packages where I don't have to put up any money? I've done staking deals in the past where i've been staked for 100% of the BI's and i've kept 50% of any winnings but I can't see anything that resembles that here. I have a 60-70% ROI for MTTs, what sort of MU could I charge?

if you were to sell a package, you'd get 15-20% of the winnings on a fair deal.

I sold a package that i ended up cancelling due to family issues and the package was sold just prior to black friday. After cancelling i sent out to everyone who had invested with 2 of them not going through due to black friday. I have been able to pay 1 via a brothers account but i have not sent to the other (having only found out today that i had missed his refund)

He has asked for me to return the funds via paypal but i do not have a paypal account nor any other online money account so what has been the way this has been handled?

Hey Bogan,

Long time no see Hit me up in private if I can be any further help at all. I have a PP acct, but don't think I would be any help that way.

You can try a bank transfer, or ask him if he'd be willing to take an alternative form of payment, like a Visa gift card, Amazon voucher, or something like that You can also simply mail him a check or money order.

You may also have friends send him PP and you trade them for site funds, if you know anyone that has funds in their PP acct. Regardless, there's a few ways and mailing a money order should be simple and viable enough.

hi just have a quick question concerning the calculation of the value of the staking for the backer. Quite often i see people offering 100% of their action with e.g. 75/25 + stakeback payout. Wld that be the same as a 1.33 MU since u buy 1% share and get 0,75% of the winnings?

Not exactly because you have to factor in stakeback. There's no direct or easy conversion.

so
75/25 package total $45
you take 10% for $4.50
he wins $100
a profit of $55
backers get 75% of $55 = $41.25
your 10% = $4.13 + $4.50 (stake back) = $8.63

If you backed a regular package of same figures
your 10% would be $10

thats a short fall of $1.37

so this difference is the MU ?
how dose it figure as a %
fwiw i tried

First off, 75/25 is not a standard. 80/20 would be more a standard.

Ok that might be a fact but don't see how it helps

80/20 = short fall of $1.10

just wanted help converting this to a MU

If a player is staked for 100% of a buy in and cashes good for a taxable amount in B&M casino is the tax % deducted form the total winnings prior to splitting up the rest at the agreed upon percentages. Normally how would this work.

My MTT results have been breakeven over maybe 1k games, I've always thought I've got unlucky at key points in the few MTTs I do enter. I've taken down the 11r on stars 4 years ago however.

I have a small winrate at uNL/ssnl cash games and am slight winner at sngs over a small sample.

I'd be looking to sell 70-90% of myself for a Sunday schedule ($600) as I have most of my bankroll locked up in FTP at the moment.

Could I do this at 1:1 or what would people suggest?
