The biggest one is getting your own poker account locked because the buyer ships you fraudulent funds.

Is it okay to make a thread asking to exchange money on FTP for cash? Which subforum would I make this thread in?

No.

You would make a post in the Person to Person Transfer thread in the Zoo. Make sure you read the entire OP carefully before posting.

I'm looking for someone to find me a safe online, (like a floor or wall mounted safe) should I post this in Marketplace or WTB? I'm offering money for someone to find me one based on criteria I provide.

Youre going to need to go to a BM security store to arrange installation anyway... maybe better off just finding a good store.

but i imagine you could put it in WTB or the main forum.

I'm 99% sure you can mount it to the floor yourself pretty easily. I'm unsure if I want to mount it right away though because I may be moving soon. Thanks.

You just fill in his name and address information on the order screen for the FTP store.

They'll send confirmations to your email so you'll just forward them to the buyer.

You don't.

But there's always lots of people posting different rooms that come available, so watch for those.

And believe it or not, the negative feedback thread really isn't the place for questions, so I moved your question to the...wait for it...questions thread!

From the sticky titled "Marketplace Rules and How to Start Threads"

Quote:
Permission to Start Threads

In order to start a new thread anywhere in the Marketplace Group you must:

Step 1) Have a 2+2 account in good standing, which has been registered on twoplustwo for no less than six full months. [Note: You need to have both, not just one or the other.]

Step 2) READ THE RULES BELOW, especially the part regarding Prohibited Items.

Step 3) Go to your user CONTROL PANEL and request access to the Marketplace forum. If you've done this you are expected to have done Step 2.

Allow 48 hours for approval. You can check your profile and see whether or not you have Marketplace approval. If it is over 48 hours and you just can't wait, send a PM to one of the mods. If you don't do step 2 we'll never see your request, and if you don't have 6 months you'll be ignored.

Hi Mods,

Just a quick question - I was wondering if I could post up a WTB for a steam game which is on sale this weekend.

I would be asking the person that I am trading with to gift it to me, (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...hp?p_faqid=549)

"What is a Steam gift purchase?

When you purchase a game on Steam, we offer the option to “gift” the item to anyone you choose, whether or not the recipient is a current Steam user. The recipient will receive the gift as an attractive e-mail card with a personal message from you and instructions to redeem the game.

A Steam gift purchase is a one-time transfer—after the recipient has activated and installed the game, it is a non-refundable game in his or her Steam games collection. Also note that you may only gift new purchases—you may not transfer games you already own. That’d be like wrapping up and presenting the toaster you’ve used every morning for the past year."

Is this allowed?

Thanks

This has come up before and I believe we decided that it would not be allowed as we don't want to be responsible for deciding gift / not gift etc.

But I can't remember so I'll try to find it - but my temporary answer is "no"

Hey i have PMed a few mods but no response so i figure id come here and ask.

I applied to be able to start threads in the marketplace and was never approved yet i have a account in good standing and have been a member since jan 2009. Is there any reason why i might get denied right? Also, why cant you guys just give me a quick response via PM giving me a Yes or No answer, If im not approved then o well, but when i dont get a response im not certain my pm was received.

Sorry for the clumped paragraph, wrote this from my phone.

If I am interesting in an item in the marketplace, like giftcards/poker site points, am I supposed to respond in the thread with my pokersite usernames? Is just pm'ing the OOP out of place?

SNs are for staking / selling shares / or in the xfer thread.

For normal transactions you don't necessarily have to post your sns

mods are volunteers, not slaves.

if they dont respond right away, just kindly send one of them a PM a few days later and ask if they got to it yet.

I think the next time I see a post like this within 24 hours of applying I'm just going to start clicking "deny." gtpitch is away and I'm very tied up for the next week, and it takes time to look over 25-35 people a day. If you actually read the rules thread fully, you'd have seen:

You don't have to wait; you're approved - I think that happened yesterday.

I can't speak for the rest of the mods but I never saw your name on the list until yesterday, nor did I receive any PMs from you. I checked my inbox to the beginning of May, well before your PM's were activated ~2 weeks ago. Besides that I approved you yesterday myself, so not sure what today's issue is.

Which mods did you PM? I can't see multiple Marketplace mods just ignoring you for no reason.
