I have a music creation software package I want to sell, goes for about $300 new. Have all of the original packaging, install discs, proof of purchase, and the serial number with it.
The manufacterer of this software will grant permission to transfer the software to a new owner on a case-by-case basis, but you need their permission first (it's specificed in their EULA just that way). I contacted them about de-registering the product and as I'm purchasing other stuff from them, expect to get the ok. Important to note that this particular software will not function or update unless the serial number is registered on their website, and only for one owner. Music-related apps like this are pretty strict.
Now I know a person can sell a software package that's never been opened, like a Windows 7 kit. And I know that you can't sell "used" serials to avoid people "sharing" licenses. But what about in a case like this where the new owner is getting the hard copy of everything, and can verify that they're the only user registered for that software package?

And so on. So is this ok to post a thread to sell?
Not knowing the guy who wrote the rules - I'd say most of them were written to protect copyright etc.
Since the manufacturer of the software has ok'd the sale I don't see any problems with this thread - you might notate in the OP what you've said in these posts.
