The mod at LLSNL is threatening to ban me after I made some challenges to some poker know-it-alls. I didn't use insulting language, nor did I violate any thread policy. There was some very disrespectful banter going on, and I issued a challenge. That's it.

How do I keep him from banning me?

I've always found the moderation of LLSNL to be nothing but professional. I don't post nearly as often as others but I read as much as anyone in LLSNL. Over the past week or so I have found many of renegadepeddler's posts to be a distraction at best and combative at worst. The key to posting is simply to be receptive to feedback and not get offended by criticism. Good luck to you sir.

Backstory: RenegadePeddler is the new account of almostPro. almostPro is a guy who wrote a blog a while back detailing his crazy journey through the poker world which included some runs at some high stakes games and some other weird stories. The whole thing was pretty far fetched and to this day I still think it's a huge level. In fact he posts in a similar style as some other previously banned posters. Unfortunately I cannot prove that he is the gimmick of someone previously banned. The fact that he writes and causes distractions like those people though lets me know exactly where this account is headed. Banville. He came back to LLSNL as RP and has tried to start a blog, asked for staking in two different spots, and started some strat threads that were against strat thread posting rules. This morning he caused a huge uproar in the chat thread and started challenging everyone HU4ROLLZ. If someone wants to take him up on it I will escrow. The distraction stuff needs to go though. We have had enough of that in the past and we are moving on. I asked the regs of that thread to ignore him and they agreed to do so. Much appreciated, btw.

I could have easily infracted him a million points and pulled the ban hammer, but I know he likes blogging and doing his PG&C. Instead I asked him to stay out of LLSNL (all of it) and if he returned I would ban him. I probably could have been done with it today had I taken the infraction route.

He is obviously upset now and here we are.

Temp banned him for 3 days. I guess if he comes back with a gimmick account I can play whack-a-mole. Only gave him 3 days because I really do want to give the guy a chance to post else where. If he comes back to LLSNL though I will ask for the full on ban.

No matter what happens I will always have a fondness in my heart for LSMTT and MSMTT, which were my original homes on 2p2.

I prefer gradually increasing penalties instead of an immediate exile. The Renegade account was being intentionally confrontational and should be in the 3 day timeout level (no idea if he is the other guy).
