The reason why pool never takes off is ITS NOT EXCITING
THE FANS NEVER ARE INTO THE MATCH
I HAVE AN IDEA..
THEY SHOULD MAKE FANS PAY TO WATCH MATCHES OF PRO'S..
LIKE TEN BUCKS OF WHAT THEY PAY GOES TO A RANDOM TICKET OF ONE OF THE PLAYERS TO WIN..
THEN THE FANS ACTUALLY HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF REASON TO GET EXCITED AND ROOT FOR SOMEBODY...
THIS MAKES THE MATCH MUCH MORE EXCITING TO VIEWERS...

So the only way to make pool more exciting is to have some random raffle bet on the players? People do play to watch it, not as popular as snooker but then not as exciting imo.
