hi guys i have a decent pool player since high school spending my summers playing with friends. i want to step up my game a little and have little time to spend practicing since i dont have a table anymore. i am looking for any material or tips ( books, youtube channels) that will help me sharpen up when i do get time to play any suggestions ?

So you want to get better at something but you don't want to put forth the effort to get better... Let me know how that works out for you.

Robert Byrne's books on pool are timeless classics that should get you started on the right foot

I second Robert Byrne.

I'd also recommend getting Virtual Pool 4. I have 3 kids so my pool time is limited but getting to play this game from time to time keeps my aim a little sharp because you can set the perspective of your shots the same as you see them in real life. There's also an online mode where you can play against others.

Find an instructor or competent person that can analyze your mechanics. If you dont have anyone local, video yourself playing. If you are astute enough to recognize bad habits in your mechanics, I still say video yourself. Then you make minor changes and start pocketing more balls.

If you have a good knowledge of the game and proper mechanics, then find people better than you and watch what they do. Also you will get sick of racking and find ways to win.

Lastly, exercise and practice. The exercise will help you for stamina and you will stay still while shooting (staying down on the ball). The practice will help with muscle memory and you will obviously gain knowledge at the same time.
