So I've been watching The Comedians on FX and they've been running ads for Married during every EP, yet nada for YTW. What gives? They better not be giving YTW and our buddy short shrift.
Married is pretty good, I'd say. I've stuck with it. Last season it got pretty dark when they almost broke up and were both very unhappy, which was interesting for a comedy.
Just watched Season 1. Great show. Great writing, great character development. Reminded me a little of Californication Season 1 just with lower stakes.
Also, liked how they didn't have the typical over-the-top ridiculous self-sabatoging moves by the main characters. A lot of times the writers will be say to themselves "OK we need to shoehorn some conflict in here so let's have Character 1 **** up the relationship by doing this completely unrealistic out of character thing that causes Character 2 to walk away." First example that comes to mind was that Zac Effron movie 'That Awkward Moment' (no **** I watched it with a girl), where he's completely dating a girl and then decides to skip her father's funeral after he dies unexpectedly bc he doesn't want to get too close. Huh? Who would ever do that?
Yep, and it was a pretty great episode!! I know that Aya Cash isn't necessarily "Miss OOT" material, but I'd probably take her over most. Lindsey looking pretty damn good as well!!
