I love both shows but the idea of crossing them over is beyond terrible and would just be forced and unnatural. I hope they were just kidding about this and its not being given serious consideration.

that Ford plus for their gps was one of the most distracting placements Ive seen on scripted tv.

Whaaaat? I mean it was clearly product placement but my first thought was, "That's awesome" rather than "That's annoying".

The Ketel One ad annoyed me for some reason and I don't usually care about this stuff. Just the fact that someone would go this swanky party and order Ketel One on the rocks seemed absolutely absurd.

I just recently finished watching the whole season. Overall I thought the show was very interesting and exciting. It definitely made me want to watch a couple episodes in a row as I was addicted to what was going to happen next.

I'm curious what direction they will take the next season to be.

Pretty excited for season 2 to start. Started watching the show the night it premiered just because it looked intriguing, and I think the show got much better as the season went on.

Season 2 starts July 13 @ 9

Looking forward to this. I've been watching some of the reruns they've been showing the past few days, and the show is even better than I remember....I hope it doesn't disappoint tonight.

ugh.. dish keeps cutting out just as they get to something important... for the first 20 minutes, this was basically what I got to see:

person: How's Neil doing?
Peter: He says he's fine but I don't know. He did say something right before the blast...
*cuts out*

This episode was quite good. Though it looks like TAT has gotten fat(NOOOOO!) and they're using some odd camera angles to try and hide it.

That scene looked really strange. Were they using a green screen?

Fantastic premiere imo. The banter and chemistry in this show is so perfect.

I had the same idea that scene was green screened but i was watching a less than legitimate copy so put it down to bad encoding. It was a bit odd how it looked.

Definite green screen.

Good episode.

Spoiler:
The reveal about the box at the end seems like another obvious red herring like Peter's ring last season. I don't think there's a chance she's evil, so it's just a matter of waiting to find out what benevolent reason she has for keeping the box.

And man, USA Network loves them some Tim Matheson. In addition to starring and directing in this episode, he's Dead Larry on Burn Notice, and he's directed Burn Notice, Psych and the premiere of Covert Affairs.

With her and the OPR guy looking for the box there is either a big government conspiracy behind it all or they are working undercover as dirty agents to bring someone down or there is some positive reason which they cant reveal to the team for some reason.

Also im pretty sure Kate didnt die in the explosion. The entire character arc would be super odd if it was played straight up.

My current bet is on them all being undercover based out of OPR to bring down someone big and Kate is the source that brought them the initial info.

So I think this was my absolute favorite episode so far. A lot of legitimate lol moments, good sexual tension between Caffrey and Diana, and a healthy dose of Mozzy.

yea the Caffrey character is awesome, and the supporting cast play thier parts really well.

Yeah, they really nailed the formula and picked up some great actors to maximise the characters and writing.

I wasnt sold at first but at some point it just clicked.

Agreed. <3 Marsha Thomason (Diana) ever since she was Nessa on Las Vegas. Very solid episode

I was in a similar boat... the first few episodes I thought this show had a great idea behind it but would only be good enough to watch when nothing else is on (like Burn Notice is for me).. but somewhere in season 1, something was tweaked and it's been great. I feel like a broken record every week, but I the show really does get better every week.

OT: Has anyone watched Covert Affairs, on right after White Collar? I caught the last half or so of the series opener and thought it was ok.. better than I thought it would be I guess.
