He only really did because he had no other prospects, and had to use an alias. . There was the scene in S6 where Leo told him to drop the Ricky Rafferty campaign, how he and Josh weren't the pony tailed nippers at the party anymore, they were the party now. Bartlet was the one and only successful campaign Toby ever had. So brilliant, and so ****ed up.

Abed sighting in episode 714 "Two Weeks Out".

He even speaks a few words.

I was looking for that Richard Schiff radio interview and found a Charlie Rose show featuring Sorkin and the main cast between Seasons 2 and 3. It's super long (one hour show), so I haven't watched the whole thing yet. Rose is usually a top-notch interview though.

Found the interview Yeti mentioned. It's not the whole thing, but there's a lot of great stuff in the clip.

I'd love to see the rest of that interview. That clip was good.

The Rose interview was great too. Too bad Sam couldn't be there. Was weird to hear Spencer talk about how TWW was his swan song.

I'd also love to find more scripts from the show. I've looked everywhere but only the pilot has been available. I've seen transcripts but no actual scripts. I've almost bought The West Wing Script Book a few times.

If anyone know where to find copies of other episode scripts, please let me know.

that's not it as it appears that was recorded in april. the one i'm talking about was probably 4-5 years ago.

edit -

probably this :

In February 2007, he appeared in the West End production of Underneath the Lintel in the Duchess Theatre [2] in London, England, and appeared on BBC Radio Five Live and talked at length to Simon Mayo about his experiences acting in The West Wing and his new West End production.

If you guys can't dig it up I'm pretty sure someone posted the transcript in the Schiff section of IMDB. The main thing I remember from reading it is just what Yeti said about Schiff hating his final arch, and that Schiff is a big time activist irl.

I don't watch any current tv shows (but I do mean to get into Breaking Bad and Mad Men some time), but in the Deadwood thread, I mentioned a discussion of Season One on tv critic Alan Sepinwall's website, and everyone got excited when they saw that the guy who barged into Swearengen's office, naked, holding his prick, was that Swanson guy.

Just watched s3e5, "On the Day Before". Last line gets me, every single time.

John Goodman's scene with Debbie in the 5th season is good and along those same lines. Not quite as potent, but very good.

I just gotta say, Alan Alda as Senator Vinick is some of the best TV I ever witnessed. And as a Republican, it's the character I was waiting for.

yea Vinick was probably my favorite character of the last season and i'm a diehard dem.

I think Vinnick was supposed to win but after John Spencer died and the cast didn't want to go on they gave it Santos. Not sure if that is when the nuclear scare was written in but it would make sense.

I always thought they were setting up Rob Lowe to be Santos' running mate in the last season...

Long time MASH fan, and huge Alda fan, so the 6th & 7th seasons were great TV, imo.

Just finished watching Season 1 and I remembered my number 1 pet peeve with The West Wing.

At the end of the Season 1 finale, the mood is all tense as the camera is zooming out and we're not sure who's been shot.... and then we immediately flip to the upbeat West Wing music as the credits roll. I hate that ****ing song every time I watch a serious episode of the show.

LOL, yes! That's really annoying in several episodes.

I might've mentioned it before, but the intro credits in the 7th season are kind of funny to watch compared to the first. In the first, they're smooth and flow with the music. In the 7th, there's so many freaking cast members that it has to fly by quick. Looks funny as hell.

I'm pretty sure the peppy closing credits music on the DVDs and the syndicated reruns aren't what originally aired.

I could be wrong.
