ftwd 4x01 is pretty good, however.

It would be hard to write a worse season finale. Only thing that could have saved it would have been both Negan and Rick dying. Two of the worst characters I can think of on any show. Ever.

You can always save people after slashing their throats. Just turn to a person with basic medical knowledge and give the order to "save him".

This feels like a good spot to actually stop watching since they wrapped up most of the story arcs

Like most of you I hate watch the show. This was the 1st season I didn't watch an ep the night it came on or by the next day. It'd take a week or 2 to muster up the energy to watch. I only watched the finale because people I'll be with later will be talking about it and I didn't want any good cliff hangers spoiled.

Could this episode be an olive branch for all the haters? Anyone who doesn't like it can stop watching now, with no major new storylines. And the fanatics can watch maggie be pregnant another year or 2

As someone that is neither hate watching or a fanatic, I sure hope so.

Don't think it's happening though, because those that are supposedly hate watching aren't really doing that.

Oh, I am really hate watching it. I think it's awful and insulting, but I keep watching. Sort of like a witness to a horrible crime.

I wouldn't even call it hate watching anymore so much as watching with bewilderment as to how writing can be so bad.

Season was hard to watch casually, I either didn't know what exactly is going on because I didn't care enough about most of the newer characters and therefore couldn't follow who's doing what, where and why, or I was bored out of my mind in the stretched out filler-segments.

I bet they don't kill her off though, banking on her new show tanking and her wanting to come back. Then again, maybe they do and play it off like anything can happen!! Probably soon this show will be like ER, where once some of the original core start to leave it opens the floodgates and then soon you have lots of newer faces expected to carry to mantle. Then the ratings really tank.

You can't blame them for leaving - they probably all made good $$ on their second deals and supposedly the filming is pretty hellacious in terms of the heat and other conditions.

It's a great universe that the comic books created and all characters could be replaced and it could still be a good show. Just need the show runner and probably most of the writers to follow the cast and leave. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I don't know anything about the comics, but I think the TV show is pretty crummy and has been for a while. I stopped watching a season or two ago and don't miss it a bit. That's not to point out my bias, necessarily, but to say that even if an entirely new crew comes in and "gets back to the comic-book greatness," I don't care, and I'd guess I'm in the majority. It would take a massive wave of publicity, both professional and social media, to get me to watch a second of that show ever again.

EDIT: just realized I may have stopped watching not at a season break, but one of those "mid-season finales" that have are popular. I feel like TWD really propelled that structure and it sucks. Like the show.
