yeah, seems like especially in season 3, they have pretty much veered off the comic storyline.

I don't know why they didn't just lock the Govnah in the tombs. Luring them in there was great strategy..so why not actually use the prison, wait for it, as a prison.

I briefly thought that was the plan. Felt quite stupid for crediting the writers/characters with such advanced level thinking once it became clear that the actual plan was simply to hide everyone except Glenn and Maggie, who would then proceed to fire blanks at the enemy once they re-emerged from the prison.

Fortunately for the good guys, this plan was a success!

Yup. Was waiting for a locking sound and unleashing of lots of zombies in the tombs/halls

Too easy

Yeah that woulda been a much better and cooler way. Plenty of zombie scenes killing people. Would have made an awesome episode.

The 2nd half of this season was such a huge disappointment. It felt like 90% was filler and the finale was a huge letdown. They built up to a prison/Woodbury faceoff all season and then when the war is supposed to come nothing happens. Governor searches the prison, Glenn and Maggie hit nobody for 30 seconds and that's it. No real fighting, no dying, nothing. The best scene was Carl putting Rick in his place for not just shooting the Governor when he had the chance. Speaking of Rick, I have no clue why he changed his stance on outsiders between letting the single guy on the highway die and inviting every Woodbury person left to live with him.

For season 4 I hope it starts with a huge zombie herd storming the prison, killing off most people with the others hitting the road. But I guess we'll get at least half a season of Carl and Rick discussing if accepting the people was a good idea and the group struggling with all the new people in limited space with limited resources.

Did we ever learn who drove the zombie bus? That seemed to be a big deal at the time, but now with everyone in Woodbury dead, it is likely moot.

I recall thinking it must have been Milton, though I don't recall what led me to think that

yeah, simply put the way the season ended is complete ****. but it gives the writer(s) plenty of leeway with where they want to head with the story. They have the governor, and they have all those ****ing people rick brought in.

i can see the first 4 episodes of season 4 being long dragfest episodes much like what we saw for 3.5 seasons of the Walking dead where nothing gets done

It was a skinny person. You can interpret that as a woman or Milton. Milton makes sense, a random person doesn't.

I was thinking that's what absolutely should happen given that sound attracts herds of walkers within few miles radius at least. In the comics it was enough to fire a gun for that to likely happen, here we saw helicopter attracting a herd. But with explosions that happened at the prison that should be enough to get a bunch of walkers crawling in.

But yeah, with the direction this show is going we'll prob just see bunch of random nonsense that no one cares about, and some more Beth singing.

I had read a rumor they were thinking or writing daryl into the comic since he has become so popular, idk if that will happen or not though. It could have just been a fan initiated rumor as well.

Plus they seem intent on sticking with the Rick is crazy and seeing ghosts storyline. The only thing that will be worse is if Andrea comes back as one of Ricks visions.

I haven't been as critical as most but that finale was pure suck and the Andrea scenes were by far the worst of the series.

I know nunnehi is confident that this sort of viewership can't just disappear.. but have a look at reddit, have a look at this thread. Even people who were show apologist are turning on it.

Even Lost had people turning on it by the end-- and Lost was by far and away a better show. I'm looking forward to the schadenfreudian joy which will wash over me when by season five this show has absolutely dismal ratings.

Yea I talked to my friend this passed weekend who is a comic book reader and one of those people who posted how great the show was every Sunday night.

She told me she thought the finale was garbage and she's getting real tired of the shows ******edness.

Haven't checked but the finale probably broke every record so what the **** ever.
