I liked Carl beginning at the start of this season when he became a full fledged zombie killer, him blasting his mom in the face reinforced it. The fact he's eventually going to lose his virginity to Beth with Herschel in the next room seals it. If he finally ditches that stupid hat he's got a chance to completely cross the line into "not a horrible character" territory

It's because they've significantly reduced his screen time. When he is on screen, it's mostly to give a disapproving/disappointed look at Rick, which causes people to like him more.

Milton is going to be the keystone of next episode.

WTF killing off Merle. Why not just kill off your best character? LOLTWDwriters

I think they should have lowered Carl into the well. Him or Andrea.

Boom. Just need 1 or 2 more. I figure we take like 5 characters each? Also someone better than me needs to organize I have no idea what I'm doing.

Couldn't even be bothered to watch until last night. My God what a piece of turd episode once again. Zombie Merle was the only marginally good part, just the couple of seconds of seeing his face, as soon as we got Daryl's reaction it was a rip-off from the S1 Andrea/sis scene. This show is so painful to watch at the moment. I assume the next two episodes (final and S4 opener) are going to be must-watches if you've made it this far, might actually be half decent action and possibly even with zombies, but if the premise of S4 isn't pretty damn convincing I think I'm done.

Interesting to see what happens to the Hershel family. Pretty sure the pale blonde girl whose name no one remembers is gonna survive so she can be Karl's S4 love interest, but Hershel's going and Maggie miiiiight be. If there's a scene of a funeral where that girl is singing campfire songs again I'm going to kill a small animal.

I'd say the only way to save this show would be to kill literally everyone but like 5 characters and go from there.

He's the baby faced baby so he has no faults.

btw why wouldn't Andrea kill the Gov? I'm just curious if they have her make out with Michonne over the corpse?

I think Merle would have done more damage to the governor's group if it wasn't for that conveniently placed walker. Obv, he had the kill shot on the governor until the kid stepped in the way. I thought it was the kid who had asthma who took the bullet, but I guess I am wrong.

I thought zombie Merle looked too much like real Merle, but whatevs.

I think the story arc likely continues into next season. The prison is going to get jacked up, so the group will have to leave. The preview showed the governor taking out the watchtower with a rocket launcher (from a moving vehicle, none-of-the-less).

I think next season will be Rick's group on the run trying to get away from the governor.

I would say just do it like a fantasy football draft. Whoever picks 4th in the 1st round, picks 1st in the 2nd round.

Scoring could be based on draft picks. For example, if your 4th rd pick gets killed, you get more points than if your 1st rd pick does.

Yeah definitely snake draft. Don't know how scoring would/should work.

Logical considering he just turned, he was zombified for a couple of hours at most.

The show went full ****** 3 episodes ago, yet somehow continues to set the bar lower and lower.

This episode was full of garbage plot holes. The most asinine part being the Governor easily dispatching Merle in hand to hand combat.

REALLY??

Merle's forte has always been kicking ass. And that was before he had a machete for an arm. Good thing the Governor already read the script so that he knew he was ok to wrassle with a dude with a machete for an arm.

Jesus titty****ing christ. I will be watching the finale and Im praying for mayhem and tidal waves (of zombies).

And now we have had 5-6 episodes of crap with some fleeting awesome moments of Daryl.

We just have to make it through 1.5 more episodes of crap, then its back to concentrated awesome for that last 1.5 episodes.

My predictions for death toll in the season finale:

0.5 : 1 Governor
1:1 Hershel
0.5 : T3's white cohorts
1:1 T3's gf
0.1 : 1 Governor's right hand Hispanic guy
2:1 Hershel's blonde daughter
3:1 Carol
3:1 Merle
5:1 T3
1:1 All of Woodbury wiped out by zomboids
10:1 Maggie
10:1 Glenn
10:1 Michonne
500:1 Rick, Carlton, Daryl, Andrea, little asskicker

Pretty obvious that now that Andrea is the new Loriesque annoying female, they will be keeping her around for season 14.

My only concern is that they kill off Merle for the "shock" kill for the finale. He is by far the best actor on the show and brings the only non-eyeroll inducing conflict within the group.

Dark horse plot twist that would make the show even better is if Governor kills Rick and takes over as the lead dog.
My odds made 4 weeks ago are still looking solid.

Probably since ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAS HAPPENED SINCE THEN.

Season 4 needs the group to have some kind of animal mascot for comic relief, like a cat or a puppy. Imagine a tense standoff with a band of thugs, when all of a sudden a bulldog comes waddling up to Rick with a walker's hand in its mouth, trying to get him to play fetch

also, this may sound crazy but baby is not 100% safe. Daryl and Andrea are both safer than baby imo. How the **** are they gonna carry around a baby in the apocalypse without even the prison being safe? Which is more interesting story-wise, Daryl going on more formula runs or seeing Rick tortured even more and watching Daryl/Hershel/Glenn scramble to fill the power vacuum?
