Just pure comedic gold

The writers should get some sort of prize

I already complained about this, but we all know the writers are functioning stillborns. But how did the actors themselves not be like "err" when that scene was being filmed? Like they had to run away from the dialogue scene to film the "sprinting towards her" scene.

Also, good thing they took her gun away. Actually good thing they took everyone's guns away, I think the writers are regretting giving the characters that dufflebag of guns because now pretty much everyone is unarmed.

The whole "I'll get it back to you" scene is amazing on so many levels:

1) That Rick offers a random gun with 6 bullets to the guy and the other guy acts like he was bequeathed Excalibur. I mean, it's a nice gun and all but I don't think resale value matters that much.

2) For some reason this fat redneck hunter only owns one gun? (Actually how is he still fat? Dharma Collective airdrop?)

3) So really when Rick went hunting the little girl he seriously left the bag of guns behind and went out with just the one gun? Boy that plan turned out smart.

I'm pretty sure that was symbolism. Rick gave a gun to the guy who shot his son. He's saying, "I trust you", even though he shouldn't, since, you know, he shot his son. It's kind of like buying a beer for the guy who killed your son in a drunk driving accident (or is it more like buying 10 beers for the guy who killed your son in a drunk driving accident, and then giving him the keys to your brand new $100,000 car?). That's why his reaction was the way it was, in my opinion.

Weapons are useless. The only reason the hunter took that risky shot in the first place was because he was on the verge of starvation. That one shot was why the camp was completely overrun by that lone 'city' zombie.

Next week on the Walking Dead: Dear lord, I'm not sure how I feel about taking that zombies choices away from him.

I'm all about the unintentional comedy but the lady getting all uppity with the vet was just cringeworthy. The thing with the horse was awesome though. Especially cletus' "you gonna git on that horse?" Bit

Dude I'm not even kidding I go back and read that site's reviews of shows I don't watch just for the lolz. The two(?) people who write for that are hilarious.

Selection of the better lines:

Quote:
There is literally not a single reason for Grimes to give him his gun other than that it’s going to turn out that his gun saves the guy’s life OR it turns out that he needs a gun and doesn’t have one because he gave it away for no reason. It’s called minor plot point, and it’s terrible.

Meanwhile, Shane and the fat guy are hanging out in the FEMA High School parking lot, just smoking Parliament Lights and talking about Skrillex or whatever when UH OH, Zombie party.

Seems like a weird place to put windows and a cage, just a tiny dead end cement alcove. But fair enough. You hide from the zombies with the dead end cement alcove you have, hindsight is zombies/zombies, etc. “Call the architect, see if he’s still alive and what he was thinking.”

The shows have one thing in common, i'm likely to make it to the end of S2 and not much further.

The season will be a D&D style puzzle quest. Each episode will involve visiting a new location to fetch an item that will enable the next fragment from to be removed.

Once the final fragment is removed Carl reveals that the missing girl is really 'the source virus' and a boss fight ensues. Underboss will be Merle

Spoiler:
They really do need to kill Shane off as they did in the comic. Bromance love triangle is gettings really difficult to stomach

I was so wanting to like this show, even after last year's precipitous drop in quality from pilot to finale. I even held out hope after last week's episode and its litany of glaring inconsistencies. But there I was watching last night and all I could focus on was stuff like:

- why is the farm so calm?
- why does that old guy's shirt look whiter than an investment banker's, and the house as pristine as Graceland?
- did he just give juice to Rick? Where'd that come from?
- if he lost his wife and one of his kids to the zombies, why does it seem like no one there is particularly concerned about zombies?

For all I know these things could've been left vague on purpose. But the writers have disappointed us so much and so often that we only can see these things as still more idiocy on their part. But hey - on some level that's fine. Now I can join the throngs here who watch this just for the unintentional comedic value.

Nobody ever in this show is particularly concerned by zombies. The main band of survivors doesn't really keep a lookout, or set perimeters, or even pay attention to their surroundings while they are whining about ****. They kinda wander around in the woods randomly, they leave their guns in the RV or something. Which actually seems like it would be OK, the family in the farmhouse doesn't have the windows boarded up or anything.

It's like the writers forgot for a while that there's this zombie thing. T-Dog and Dale don't seem remotely concerned about it even though there was a ****ing zombie convoy staggering down I-75 like yesterday.

Oh yeah the thing where Lori briefly thought the doctor meant "veteran" when he clarified that by "kind of" a doctor he meant that he was a "vet" was amazing. Because that's totally kind of a doctor, Lori! Jesus I'm gonna try to get onto the "Talking Dead" show next week and ask them what sort of drugs their mother was abusing during her pregnancy.

Also, that screenshot of the drugs makes me realize that Daryl's brother was a baller. There's gotta be like 15 grand worth of drugs in there, based on how much Tuco was paying Walt for a bag of the blue.

I couldn't be the only one who, upon hearing this exchange, immediately thought back to the great scene from "Falling Down" when the guy in the park hits up Michael Douglas' character for food/money, and tries to gain points by saying that he's a vet (intending it to mean veteran), to which Michael Douglas responds by saying "you're an animal doctor?".

When I was last on antibiotics I took them with me so that I wouldn't have to go home to take them. I'm not sure how many cars were on the road or what percentage of the population are on antibiotics at any given time, but I'd if there were 100+ people it would be reasonable to expect one of them to have antibiotics, especially if they were evacuating their homes.

I think they were on more of a kick that they didnt find any drugs their first sweep, not that they didnt find antibiotics. It would be really weird in an evacuation scenario to not find any drugs in this country.

First, I thought that maybe since this is in the middle of a massive epidemic people would load up on the antibiotics. But then on the other hand, since it is a massive epidemic, antibiotics are probably worth their weight in gold and people would have probably either taken them or had them looted from the cars already.
