I'm loving this show so far, the format is great. They should just battle it out all the way down to the winner.

The talent on this show blows away the talent on AI imo.

I didn't like a few of the song choices and I really don't like the punk rock girl on Christina's team that advanced.

I'm still at a loss at what the best strategy is for the competitors. Is it to upstage your battle opponent? Or to blend so well that you sound awesome?

She is smoking hot in the video, and I do want to come home with her and be lovers tonight. Song is god-awful though.

Alright, watching now. Notes:

Match #1, Julia vs Raquel, seems like a toss-up match before they get started. Xtina's breasts once again the highlight of the show. Both of them are struggling and getting drowned out by the beat. Not the greatest song to showcase vocal ability. I'd lean toward picking Raquel, who apparently is shorter than Peter Dinklage. Xtina agrees. Moving on.

Match #2, Dia vs Serabee, damn Dia is so ****ing cute. Those eyes! Oh, right this is "the voice." I forgot. Voice. Not cuteness. Got it, let's go. Dia isn't a good singer at all. Hmm, well that sucks. Sarabee is blowing Dia off the stage. Holy **** Dia sucks. I'm really sad. Serabee wins ainec. Confirmed Blake wants to bang Dia and makes a godawful decision. Absolutely terrible. Blake tweets "had to go with my gut" where I guess gut=penis.

Match #3, Rebecca vs Devon, don't remember either of them from earlier. Not that I have a good memory. Both are good so far. I wish they wouldn't cut to family making comments. Solid but not amazing duet. No real preference. Flip a coin. Devon wins, alright.

Match #4, Kelsey vs Tori/Taylor, should be interesting. Kelsey is smokin. All three of them are pretty good. Cee-Lo has a great team. The brunette sister is the weakest of the three. Shrug. I'd pick Kelsey. The sisters aren't a bad choice at all though. Unlike Blake's lolbad decision.

Christina's breasts both would struggle and get drowned by my beating off on them.

Match #1, Julia vs Raquel - Doesn't matter

Match #2, Dia vs Serabee - Disagree with vix - I think Dia has a very good voice as evidenced in her audition video and Serabee was terrible. She was screechy and way,way over the top. Who sings Can't Hurry Love like that? And the way she kept screeching those runs over Dia's verses... cringe inducing. I don't know how will Dia well stack up against the others in the live show but for this performance it was an easy choice. However Dia can only sound better when she doesn't have a screeching wombat providing backing vocals.

Match #3, Rebecca vs Devon - Probably doesn't matter. I didn't care much either way but I remember Rebecca singing Nirvana during the auditions and it was pretty good. I don't remember Devon at all.

Match #4, Kelsey vs Tori/Taylor - The biggest mistake of the night, imo. The sisters sound nice when harmonizing but neither was very good when singing individually. I thought the blonde was the worst of the two but mostly flew under the radar because she had to hand the big notes off to her sister. Neither sister is good enough though. I feel they "won" because they add something a little different to the competition not because they were the best. Kelsey looked and sounded great and had a nice presence on the stage.

I pretty much agree with your analysis of match 4. Either of those girls one on one vs Kelsey wouldn't have a chance. Together they were pretty solid. I think they wanted one of the duos to move on for novelty. Kelsey could've conceivably won the competition, more than the duo anyhow.

With Serabee vs Dia it wasn't so much how great Serabee was but how unreal bad Dia was. Did you see Idol this year at all? Reminds me of Julie Zorilla (Dia does). Cute girl. No talent. I'm prepared to eat my words if she shines later but that was a mess.

NOPE!

vix had it dead on right. grave injustice done. but will listen to dia's audition again, i'm sure it was very good, but she lost by a mile last night.

lol this. Must have been driving her crazy to have to bubble gum it up singing next to the two bopsie twins.

Agree with Wires, Serabee was screechy garbage, glad she is gone. Also glad that skank with the giant forehead is gone, her singing is meh and she isn't attractive. Granted she looks good in that video... smoke and mirrors etc.

Match 1: Horrible performance IMO. I thought the song choice was poor and both girls have very bad pitch problems.

Match 2: I agree with the selection. Serabee did way to much wavering and trying to outshine Dia and her singing isn't that great. She tried to show-off her range in a song that really doesn't dictate it. A little over-the-top and it cost her.

Match 3: Damn these two blended well. This was a coin-flip and either of them could have advanced. I would love to hear more songs by this duo. Their voices just paired up so well and it was sad to see one of them go home.

Match 4: Sisters weren't that great and Kelsey should have won in this match. Yeah, they sound good harmonizing but how can you judge that when it's 2 v 1? The sisters' voices don't have much richness or color and their sound isn't as mature as Kelsey's. I don't like the whole idea of some being tandem teams anyways, so I would have liked to see them get the ax.

Overall, I think it's a shame how unbalanced and unfair some of the battles are. There are some clear top 4 talent on each team getting sent home while other mediocre talent advances due to inferior pairings. I understand it's part of the game and the nature of head-to-head battles, but it's quite annoying.

Wires and banana have it right. Serabee was ridiculous and terrible. All she did was run up and down all over the place except for the melody. And this after Blake told her to reign it in. She did the opposite. Good idea to ignore your coach, Serabee!

Dia, on the other hand, was perhaps a bit uncomfortable with that song but she sang it fine imo, and has a terrific voice at all other times. Not only was her audition fantastic, but you can see her kick tremendous amounts of ass on YouTube:

I feel like she holds back so much when singing.. I wish she'd just belt it more often. Def some better examples on her vocal talents though.

FWIW, I've felt like the vibrato of a lot of the women have been a little artificial-sounding and wavering inconsistently without the richness that I'd expect.. I know the music their singing doesn't necessarily mandate a ton of vibrato but it's just me being the picky critic.

I was disappointed that no one called her out on the screeching, particularly Christina who was making faces whenever she did it.

I think they play nice seeing as they're going to cut the person anyway - they get to make their point without crushing the person's spirit. Blake did mention to her after the performance that just because you can sing the runs doesn't mean that you should. Who knows what else he may have said that was edited out but that comment still got his point across. After all prior to Reba speaking Blake mentioned he had a lot to say... and we certainly didn't hear him say lots. I assume there's a fair amount on the cutting room floor.

Like I mentioned earlier I think Dia was better and I like her voice. However I don't discount what vix said either. She has a "nice" voice that works when she's sitting in her room playing guitar but may be completely crushed under a full band during the live show. We shall see...

When he said that, I was thinking and if you can't sing the runs then you definitely shouldn't.

She's certainly better in these and other videos but I still bet she'll be exposed on a bigger stage. A cute girl playing acoustic instruments in her room or in the studio is one thing, captivating a large audience is a different beast (Thia Megia nods). Instruments are something a lot of performers hide behind, and she's one of them. Take it away and they are naked and vulnerable. Some of them can pull it off but it ain't easy. That performance yesterday really exposed her weakness. Hey, I hope she improves. She's super cute. I just wouldn't bet on it.

I think Christina is a HUGE underdog. Even her song selections have been questionable and she just seems to have far inferior talent.

Still wish both Elvis guys advanced though
