I didn't think it was Prince because Prince typically plays instruments on stage, and he can play 11 of them!

Saw Sly Stone in concert when I was 15. After, I wanted to be black for a week, if only for the outfits.

I like the music. I like the cameo vibe of the different acts. Cannavale is all in.
I don't care about most of the stories, especially the murder thing. And don't need to see more coke going up noses.

More like this please! Best episode of the series so far. Thought they were going with random imaginary friend, but they did good with it. Bowie was good. Guy that covered his song at the end was very good. Elvis up next.

Finally caught up with this. Good god what a **** show.

I want every person associated with this show to be banned from making anything for at least 10 years.

Pointless pretentious drivel.

Boring.

I hope this is going somewhere because I wanted to turn it off last night after 20 minutes. Wife was with me so I just sat there and took it.

Only character I like is the Ray Romano character.

Yeah, this episode didn't do it for me. Get off Devon's bull****, get off Richie being a drug addict, because those two things are boring as ****.

Was that guy singing Life on Mars supposed to be someone? Young Billy Joel?

I'm not sure, but it's a good bet we see him again from the look on Romano's face.

Did not know the lead singer of Nasty Bits was Mick Jagger's kid. Now we know his motives.

Couldn't agree more. Even the murder thing is weak to me. It's like hey, we need the audience to understand that the guy is under a LOT of stress so they sympathize with him. Except it's not working, I sympathized with him when he was just turning down the Polygram deal, now I want him to OD so we can see the chick from Law and Order turn things around.

I'm stuck on the series because my girlfriend still likes it, but even she is getting fed up so we may both bail. Too bad too, because HBO doesn't have many misses.

Feel like HBO has had a lot of hour long misses lately. Newsroom, season 2 of True Detective are clear misses, and Leftovers is at least a semi miss in that it's only 3 seasons and no one really watches it. The fact that Vinyl got insta-renewed even though it has abysmal ratings (like seriously only 500-600k people watch it, just horrible) and mediocre reviews I think speaks volumes about how much trouble HBO's hour long show stable is in. Like from a viewership standpoint GoT is really the only show they can say they feel really good about right now.

I agree with your list as the best shows on tv. But I think Better Call Saul is just way better than all the other shows. People vs OJ is pretty damn good. But no the show on tv leaves me wanting for more than Saul.

Vinyl is all style. The whole story is very weak, and mostly a character driven show. Ray Ramano was awesome in the last episode though.

Loved this episode. Back to back strong episodes for me. Finally feel invested in the characters. Feel like I finally started rooting for Richie and he pulled that sick **** with the money. Ray Romano was great in this episode. Laughed when Richie told Elvis if he signed with them, he'd be "on the throne".

First episode I liked, had one of those Mad Men west coast trip feels, although the ending was trite as ****. Bored as hell by Richie's vices, even when he's not acting like a coked up cartoon.

Yeah, that was cringeworthy. I liked Elvis, the mail room stuff was okay, nothing like a little chronic in the workplace to ease racial tensions.

Took me nearly the whole episode to figure out that the dude they sold the plane to was Artie Bucco from Sopranos.

The guy who played Elvis was spectacular.

Yeah I liked the guy who played Elvis and also thought the Colonel was portrayed well too. It really highlighted the hold the Colonel had over Elvis.

I admit I liked the money disappearing twist. Romano one of the highlights of the show.
Elvis was great all around.

I don't get the Olivia Wilde story line. I guess it's actress service so it's not a one dimensional character. But I could watch OW all day. (Shout out to the 70's bush)

Only show where I watch the end credits. Miss so many of the "cameo" musicians.
