I'm not sure. It might just be a survival move. The woman had previously expressed being afraid of how the wife of the ousted Earl would be treated, and by aligning herself with the new Earl's wife she will be protected.

So is this show worth watching. I am fairly easily entertained so it doesn't need to be breaking bad, just not terrible, hopefully better than The Following.

She asked to serve Ragnors wife, not to be her slave.

Also like I say book it that it is no coincidence she starts serving her then near immediately after she has miscarried.

Perhaps the woman is scheming not only for revenge on her husband but also Ragnar denying her request to be the one to light the funeral pyre.

Great episode this week. The battle scenes are really awesome for what must be a limited budget. The special effects and stunt people sure have gotten better at combat scenes since the days of Braveheart. I guess it's true that the armies are pretty small, but I hardly noticed it during the slicing and dicing.

I thought the King's moves were not that bad, other than letting his brother's army leave the castle in the first place. I fully expected him to force Ragnar into siege mode. Next time around, I'm sure he will.

Yeah that was surprising. I'm really curious about the reason or motivation if the earl's wife was behind it. How would she even make that happen? Drugs?

this show is so good i only wish it was on hbo showtime or starz to have a better budget. But otherwise timeline moves pretty fast and the show is awesome.

So, is the shipbuiler's name Loki, or Floki? Early on I would have sworn it was Loki, but it lately sounds like they're saying Floki.

100 percent my favorite actor in this series. He would make one hell of a joker too! :-)

Its the brother of Alexander Skarsgård (the hunkvampire in true blood)who plays Floki. gustaf skarsgård. He did an awesome performance in a Swedish movie named ondskan (the evil) a few years back.

I agree he is awesome. But i got the gheys for ragnar now. The real deal

The priest sacrifice storyline was pretty obvious, and it seems pretty cruel on Ragnar part considering the priest saved him a couple episodes ago.

Ya that line was great. I am surprised they let him watch the rest of the ceremony once he had shown that he still believed in Christ.

He's only in the final 2 episodes for the 1st season.

Depending on what happens in the 2nd season he might not return.
