I'm not too worried about the historical accuracy of it all. So far I think it's very well done.

Plus, Ragnar's wife seems to have inspired my wife to have some rough Viking style sexy time, so that's an added bonus.

Ya so far so good IMO. The giant history channel logo has been the most annoying thus far.

Yeah, I guess those men were sent from the Earl, but it was such a sloppily done operation that it's hard to tell. Like, why not overwhelm them with numbers, rather than send so few that you are only able to kill one of Ragnar's men, even though you have them trapped inside a building.

Didn`t they even say something along the lines "greetings from the earl?" I`m not sure anymore.

Really good episode.

"You need to have patience father" made me laugh so hard

Siggy > Siggy's Daughter

I'm always going to be a huge griper about a hero escaping from a seemingly impossible situation while the villain counts down the seconds till his triumph, but this scene was not so bad. The ridiculousness was mitigated by a) a serviceable escape sequence, b) the reasonableness of a boat floating down a fjord and Ragnar being able to see the boat from a cliff above and c) real damage still being done to Ragnar in terms of injuries, losing his ship, and Rolo being captured.

Extremely entertaining show, and the one I now look forward to every week. I think I have a man crush on Ragnar... Btw, anyone else notice the resemblance b/w Travis Fimmel (Ragnar) and Charlie Hunnam, SOA's 'Jax'?

i can't possibly be the only one who thought that the main character was the guy from Sons of Anarchy. They look so similar to me and my roommate brought it up too.

I enjoy the show a lot but it feels like it could be stronger. It just misses something to tie it together better. Like we are five episodes in and I know little about all the characters so have no attachment to any of them.

They are doing a really good job on what seems like a really small budget. I think that has to be taken into consideration when judging this show.

Floki is quite a generous sharer. Quite a roller coaster for the daughter, one day thinking she is going to land the stud and the next she is being violated by the old guy.

Speak for yourself. Im attached to Ragnar's wife and the Vikings raping and pillaging. Go watch a soap opera brah.

Thought tonights episode was kind of cheesy tbh. Definitely a jump down in quality from the other episodes.

I thought it was pretty good. The fast handover of power after Ragnar kills the early was interesting and Ragnar's brother seemingly moving to be the antagonist is interesting. Makes me wonder if he killed the earl's sons, something mentioned too often for it to be forgotten about entirely.

I don't know what Rollo is whining about. All he has to do is get a mother-daughter sandwich and Ragnar's accomplishments will pale in comparison.

I like this show, but after this past episode, things seem to be moving a bit too fast. In most decent cable shows, I feel like Ragnar going from average Viking raider, to utilizing new navigation methods building his own ship and raiding England, to Earl would be an arc that would take up an entire season.

Liked the newest episode but also agree on things moving a bit fast. Maybe they wanted to get Ragnar to become the new Earl quickly or whatever, but then they flash forward to the next spring aka raiding season right away? Also lol at the King of Thumbria's pit of vipers being brought out so early, given that is Ragnar's eventual downfall.

Still a good show so far though. Just wondering how they're going to progress the story from here.

That's interesting. I thought I had read somewhere it was going to be a miniseries with a 10-episode run.
