Can someone explain why Rollo would help IVA if he thought Bjorn was his son and he still loved Lagertha? That part makes little sense to me.
Maybe because wanted to get Bjorn to have to leave and come live with him?

Resurrecting this thread and then won't be checking it again until I've finished this final season of the show; I'm a few episodes away from finishing. A shame this show has gotten so little attention the last few years as I think it's continued to be one of the best and most unique shows on TV.

Show definitely fell off a decent amount post-
Spoiler:
Ragnar's death
but I thought it started to get really good again around the midpoint of the first half of s6 and it's continued to deliver strongly.

Some random thoughts:
-I really love how this show has a tendency to humanize even the more villainous characters (e.g., Ketil) and also give bad aspects to the more heroic ones (e.g., Bjorn). The vast majority of the primary characters are very three-dimensional.
-Harald has continued to ascend my power rankings. The actor just does a phenomenal job of portraying a complex person. "Skorgamor!"
-Some stand-out scenes from s6:
Spoiler:
discovery of the whale in Greenland and the crazed aftermath, the voting for king of Norway, everything involving the bond between Ivar and Igor, Bjorn's last stand

-I love that, with a few eps left to go, the show is on pace to end on a really strong note. That's really impressive when (I think?) literally every primary character from the first few seasons is no longer involved in the show.

I enjoyed the last season and seeing it all get wrapped up. Glad I stuck with it. A lot of people bailed after Ragnar was gone.

Very happy to see
Spoiler:
Wessex/England
get brought back into things. I thought the show was missing something without it being involved.
