This "season" of Vikings blows away recent Game of Thrones. In total, it's probably better than the Rome series.

I don't mind it, it doesn't get alot of screentime either. Very sudden end to the episode, but awesome ep. Not missing ragnar yet. And jep, I enjoy this alot more to than GOT

I'm a big fan of Vikings but lol at it being better than Rome. Rome was perfect.

I started to watch Rome after your comment. Watching episode 7 now. Anticipating a great decisive battle between Caesar's and Pompey's armies and what do I see? 8 men hugging each outher for 10 second while the camera is shaking! Haha! This is definitely not perfect.

some of this season was a little disappointing i thought the choreography in the battles seemed a little off but still the best thing on tv.

The show is still going strong. Hopefully the Byzantines get involved and maybe we get to see Constantinople.

Loving the new season, such an underrated show. Didn't expect it to be this good in the post-Ragnar era.

The main strength of the show is the casting. All of Ragnars sons are interesting. Ubbe even looks just like him.

i just realized Lagertha was in Student Bodies (canadian show) like 20 years ago

she was ssssmoking

Still is, obviously, probably a time traveller. There's no way she's a 40 year old human

So.. how is season 5? Not a good sign seeing how active this thread is i guess? Im pretty hesitant continue watching without ragnar and 20 eps for a season

Not sure why the thread isn't hopping. Season 5 has been great. Floki continues to deliver.

Rewatched it all and at ep 3 season 5 now. Ivar is really good, bjorn also (not alot of screentime so far), battles are still awesome. But seems like its more about the battles and gore that comes with it now. Season 4A was actually not that good, s4 ep10-15 were amazing with some of the best scenes of the series. But after that mhh .. torvi, sigrid are the worst. Floki boring atm. Show lost alot of its depth with the death of ragnar. But i'll stick with it, still some very good moments.

Finished it, first eps in York with ivar and the bishop were good. After that not so good. The whole floki storyline is really boring. All the rest is meh.. just not that interesting anymore. Lagertha, hvitserk, torvi, margret may all die. Aethlewulf's death was so, so bad. Such a good character and then that.. what was the point?

Could be fun with rollo back, ivar and bjorn still awesome. Ubbe is okay to. Still has potential.

my high school history is a little rusty but i think aethlewulf died in his 20's to an allergic reaction or poisoning and the show tries to be accurate when it comes to deaths

8.5 episodes through the latest (half?) season and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. Feels like there have been some cool ideas underlying the season and there are still plenty of interesting characters left on the show but the whole season has had a going-through-the-motions feel to it. The execution has been lacking compared to previous seasons. I continue to greatly miss
Spoiler:
Ragnar
,
Spoiler:
Aethelstan
, and
Spoiler:
Rollo (AWOL this season)
.
S3 was the show's peak imo.

Disagree strongly with whoever said this show blows The Last Kingdom out of the water. I enjoy this show greatly, but, on balance, The Last Kingdom is better.

Well, the season didn't get any better in the last 1.5 episodes. In fact, it got worse. Hoping the show can find its stride again.

And, I was wrong. This was the actual peak of the show:

The first episode was very eventful, i hope the rest of the reason continues down this path & they don't make it boring like last season. I really want Lagertha to die, i feel like she should've been gone 2 seasons ago.

Can someone explain why Rollo would help IVA if he thought Bjorn was his son and he still loved Lagertha? That part makes little sense to me.
