so happy this show is back.
obv they can't get rid of jonad, curious what they have planned for him.

show is so godamn elite, tho this ep was a bit of a letdown.
her new aid was not funny and the show doesn't work nearly as well when she's not interacting with her team.

no clue why they decided to have that random wedding etc but w/e I'm sure the rest of the season will be fantastic.

I suspect Jonad's blog will blow up and he will be covering the Veep's campaign.

Yeah, chances are he will be even more involved in their daily lives, since it would be heaven for them to no longer have to deal with Jonad.

this episode was incredible. i haven't seen every episode but is the quality always this high? i don't think there was a scene or character that didn't absolutely deliver this episode.

Yes, that was probably the worst episode since season 1, if it gives you an idea.

wow if u thought this ep was great u need to watch first 2 seasons ASAP.

this was pretty mediocre comparatively.

1st 2 seasons are pure genius.

God I love this show. It's especially refreshing given the current trend of network comedies to be extremely sentimental with characters that all care about and respect each other. Veep actually reminds me a lot of Seinfeld in how it prioritizes the comedy over that kind of stuff.

Jonah was so great in this episode. I assume he either goes full-time blogger or is able to pull some strings to get re-hired.

It looks like CLAY DAVIS' role is going to be increased if he's running for Pres, really looking forward to that.

the thing is jonads comedy is mainly derived from his interaction with the VEEP's team, and his over inflated ego due to his job in the WW.

if he's just a blogger we lose both of those as no shot VEEP office gonna let a blogger just hang around, esp one they can't stand.

having said that (yes ty larry david) i have full faith that they will come up with some way to maintain the level of brilliance of seasons 1-2.

the only thing i really hope is they never make her president, and the show somehow just never ages.

If his blog blows up and he becomes influential, then for sure Jonad could conceivably have access and interaction with the Veep team.

i mean ya he could show up to mike's press conferences, but when he was the freaking liaison to the VP from POTUS they still barely tolerated his presence and shunned him at every turn.

all of a sudden he's a big time blogger so he gets to hang around the office?

ya don't see that being realistic.

They're going to be campaigning. He's going to be on the campaign bus.

He could easily have more power as an influential blogger than West Wing flunkie

Yeah they actually had to do this to keep Jonad on the show. With them on the campaign trail there wasn't going to be a role for the white house liaison.

ya totally blanked on the fact they would be out on the campaign trail.
makes perfect sense.

kindv wish they did the "time never advances" thing but guess that's not really feasible.
just don't think the show works with her as the POTUS.

I'm guessing the plan is for the election to drag over two or three seasons and her losing a very close election. Then the show ends.

I would love to see the show move to the Oval Office but man I don't know if they could pull it off.

ya i mean aside from the amazing chemistry and writing the main conceit is the total
lack of power and competency.
I know we had GWB as a pres, but still
don't think the show works with her as POTUS.

The British version had 24 episodes. Veep will have 28 episodes through three season. One more and they're done.

I doubt it. They won't fit the primary and general election in one season. Four seasons at least.
