Is anybody watching this? I started it and I found it quite entertaining.
It is a (fake, everything is acted) behind-the-scenes look at the production of a reality-tv show which is basicly a copy of The Bachelor. If that sounds terrible to you I don't blame you but I gave it a try and find it very entertaining.
The biggest things the show does good:
*A lot of cynicism / dark humour. I sometimes feel like I'm looking at a bad Sorkin-show that Sorkin would never make
.
*Like you can see above the leads are Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer! And they both do a fantastic job and have interesting characters.
*The behind-the-scenes aspect is very interesting. Anyone that watches some reality tv-shows will love this aspect of it. Or make you hate the reality tv you watch. Or both
. I can't speak to how realistic everything is but aside from the expected overly dramatic bits it feels realistic to me.
*Lots of hot women
. (no nudity though)
The bad:
*The plot is overly dramatic from time to time. No idea why they did this because sometimes you feel like you're watching a bad soap suddenly... It's not often but those moments are there.
*The show's target audience clearly is more women than men. I am just mentioning that since I am male and I was irritated a few times by some of the writing.
Anyone who is interested by the good and isn't too scared off by the bad should give this a chance imo
.
