Except Bob apparently was destroyed by the green glove, at least in the reality we were watching. After that Cooper reset the timeline or switched to a different reality when he saved Laura in the past, so it's possible Bob existed again after that even though we didn't see him.

It was implied that Judy (mother/experiment/ancient malevolent force) was the ultimate antagonist of the series - possessing Sarah, pulling Laura up out of scenes causing her to scream etc.

In a reductionist view the entire series seems to become just a sort of Evil vs. Good chess game between Judy and the Fireman.

Saw it discussed a couple places that everything was a Laura Palmer dream. All 25 yrs. lol I was surprised to see that from people who follow Lynch.

ok i've tried like 10 times to watch this show, and i never made it past 10 minutes. it's just so awful. this time i persevered all the way to 19 minutes. at around 10 minutes i was seriously wondering if everyone loved this show so much because it was so bad, like "the room". it even crossed my mind that the world was trolling me.

the only way i made it to 19 minutes was to just in astonishment that everyone loves this so much, and laughing at how awful the acting was, like literally laughing out loud. the acting and directing and dialogue are just ridiculous, like parody level bad. what the ****?

the mom screaming about her dead daughter, the actors standing there obviously doing nothing before the scene started except waiting for the director to say "action". the extras bored in the back ground.

the only good thing about the show so far is the waterfall, and the opening credits. but they're over 2 minutes long. aint nobody got time to watch 2 minutes of opening credits.

The superimposed face certainly implies that Cooper is the dreamer, possibly relating to the fact that he knows he is about to change reality and the current reality is effectively dreamlike to him. He may have been (or still be) viewing/dreaming changing realities from the Lodge.

There's another complex but relatively coherent theory out there that the alternate reality at the end was actually created by the Fireman in collaboration with Cooper and Diane and meant to trap or destroy Judy.

It's interesting reading different takes on everything. Lynch is in his glory.

I think it will be back in some form. Not as ambitious as this, but maybe a movie or mini-series. Netflix or Amazon would probably be happy to be involved with Lynch.

I just got done watching this. Some of that has to be intentional. Another thing, 17 is about 2 minutes longer. Cruise starts singing when 18 ends.

One of the executive producers recently debunked the sync theory, "[–]SabrinaSOfficial[S] [score hidden] just now
This is definitely not the way to watch these parts."

I'll soon embark on the full rewatch from s1 and act like a crazy conspiricist, might even get a chalkboard and put up notes and connections with red string.

The biggest thing I want to look at is when cooper changes the past, he's not the only one that can do so. I think his butterfly effect is mixing with Phillip Jefferies, the fireman, and major Briggs so I'd like to see if there is a breakthrough one can make when considering these together.

So The Platters' My Prayer plays over the Woodsman's murderous attack on the radio station in Ep. 8, as well as Cooper and Diane's sex scene in Ep. 18.

From Wiki, the original line-up of The Platters:

Cornell Gunter
Herb Reed
Alex Hodge
Joe Jefferson
David Lynch
Gaynel Hodge

LOL not the same Lynch, but still...he's gotta be ****ing with us.

Dude, do you not understand that some TV and Film is not supposed to be realistic or to reflect life as it is? I mean, I don't really care whether or not you like it, but to see you miss so badly what this show is just makes me feel bad.

I thought it was more likely the idea of living within dreams etc. was being used synonymously with the notion of changing realities. I took Cooper's superimposed face to signify him remembering the reality he altered, or possibly him viewing altered reality from within the lodge.

Also if Cooper dreamed part 8 he's got one heck of an subconscious imagination.

Lots of cool theories. Re-watched the finales. The scene in ep 18 (final ep) where Diane is on top of Cooper (just realized he has the same initials as the infamous DB Cooper who disappeared in WA in 1971; can't believe that never occurred to me before) in the motel bed with the song "My Prayer" background was really fabulous. Listen to the words, watch the facial expressions of the orgasmic Diane (Laura Dern), her hands seems to be trying to change his face, and keep in mind that this is the denouement of a 25 year relationship for the couple and the viewer. Great show.

The studio released the soundtrack/score from the limited event series... in two volumes.

Of special note is Rebekah del Rio singing the song "No Stars"... it's an absolutely amazing piece of music that show cases her vocals. Hopefully some of you will remember Rebekah del Rio from Mulholland Drive.

Potential for s4 according to Lynch recently but stresses patience if it were to happen. A while back I thought a movie was a strong possibility but Lynch has also said that medium is dead so doubt that now.

With all the dead irl actors, I’d guess it could continue with the new fbi gal, and/or the alternate dimension which could make sense for a mostly new cast. Also a spin-off like young Major Briggs or Jefferies could make sense.

Given that the actors who played Briggs and Jeffries are both dead, I'd say those spin-offs are fairly unlikely. Although the voice actor who played tea kettle Jeffries is alive and well...hmm!

Movie seems sensible to me, and by far the most logical storyline choice for that would be Audrey, imo. It's really hard for me to see a "proper" s4 but I would welcome any amount of new Lynch material about any subject so I ain't complaining if that happens.

---

I had a super intense Twin Peaks dream last night. In the dream I was at a house party and ended up in a bath tub with some girl about to have drunken sex with her. Then at the very second when I was about to enter her, her face turned into that of young Laura Palmer and she started screaming that super creepy Laura Palmer scream. I looked out of the window and there were nuclear explosions similar to those in episode 8 and then I woke up. It was like straight out of Lynch's subconscious, it sounds kinda cool on paper but it was hella scary and I truly wish to never have that dream again, haha.
