I don't see how this show survives without Fiona.

Fiona has been awful for the last 3-4 seasons.

Basically every characters arcs are better than Fiona's, except for Ian and maybe Debbie.

Frank, Lip, Carl, Kev and V etc are all great characters.

Sure, Shameless isn't as good as it used to be, but it's been quite a ride with the Gallaghers and I'm still super happy when it's time for a new Shameless season.

Lip's character and arc are the most frustrating.

He should be out banging broads while being a genius not playing house with an infant in a debbie 2.0 storyline.

Haven't started this season but that is exactly what I was afraid of. Best character on the show by a mile and they continually **** it up. I'm still going to watch though.

LOL, ya Lip's storyline has been **** sense probably the college era. Dude went from genius to standard blue collar worker. Like watching people you know in real life in a tv show, why bother.

It's almost bizarre to see how bad the writing has become on this show. I remember when it first started that they was a heightened poetry to the dialogue, like on Deadwood. The writing now seems like a screenplay of a first time writer.

The acting has gotten pretty awful as well. Debbie and Carl are sometimes painful to watch, as is Liam.

Storywise, I just find it hard to give a **** what any of these characters are up to. Kevin and Frank are probably the only two whose storylines are consistently entertaining, even when it's not believable. Kevin directly aping the molestation stories of the MJ victims he saw from watching the documentaries was hilarious.

Can't stand Lip's gf, and watching him try to make things work with her is depressing.

I have a feeling it would be jarring to watch an earlier episode of the series now. They'd be like two different shows.

I quit after the 2nd episode. Anyone still watching? If so, how is it?

Ending with Season 11. Lip may or may not be leaving.

too much gay stuff

This season has been utterly horrible. Watching because I'm too invested to quit, but this seems to be a standard for Showtime. Take a show that should have ended many seasons before and run it into the absolute ground. No character arcs other than maybe Lip's or Ian's have mattered, and I don't really care about any arc. Lip leaving would render the show even more of a debacle as he is the only heart left on the show. That said, that would be the only real reasonable "good" conclusion.

Went ahead and watched this season since it's on Netflix. It was awful. Going into the final episode of the season I had it figured out. Tami was going to head out, Mickey was going to kill his dad, Mandy was going to show up at the funeral setting up season 11 with Mandy and Lip.

I also went back and watched most of the first season. WTF happened to the actor who played Ian? He got so much worse over the course of this show. The early scenes with him and Lip are A+ though.
