I think that would suck. It would kill cable/dish providers since there would be no reason to use them if you can't zap ads. I would much rather the Netflix model where I just pay (subscribe) for the content commercial free. Commercials do a lot to ruin almost any viewing experience.

Not 100% but I think Sepinwall mentioned that was still an international co-production on his podcast.

To bolster what Rendle said, I think Grimm has a good shot at seeing 10+ seasons if it wants.

MIND GAMES collapses in week 2, falling to a 0.6 A18-49 and 2.1M viewers.

Nevermind, this is probably coming off the schedule soon.

Kyle Killen shows all over the place.

It's still possible they could continue to air it, unless they decide to do Scandal encores or something.

Did you watch it? Is it worth checking out?

Nope, didn't watch it. Was gone for 2 weeks, came home to a full DVR and needed to clear space.

It's a lesser version of Lie To Me.

I've been starting to drop stuff / been picky with new stuff since I was watching to many things but I'll give Resurrection a try even though it might suck.

USA's first foray into comedy was pretty much a ratings disaster. The Pilot had a 0.5 in the 18-49 demo, and the second episode had a 0.4. The ratings will never improve on it, because I thought it was a turd.

The Americans fell right back to the ratings it had last season, in the second episode of season 2. Because of the expansion to FXX, FX is probably a little more lenient with shows, and I think 0.6 is probably their bubble now...unless The Americans gets canceled. Next week should tell us how well the new show is sitting with audiences, since it is quite a bit different from season 1.

@TVbytheNumbers: Fox Renews New Girl, The Mindy Project, The Following & Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Mindy Project renewal is a surprise.

Sounds like they almost have a full schedule for next season - http://www.hitfix.com/the-fien-print...rly-renewals-2

If you think about it, they kind of had to. B99 is actually doing about the same as Mindy in that slot, and there's no chance they weren't renewing that. I'm happy they did, because now that means it's a guaranteed 4 seasons. It's a lot more interesting that they renewed The Following so early, probably because they're worried it will continue to lose viewers. But that is definitely a huge ratings precedent for FOX. Since they renewed The Following, they really can't not renew Almost Human. This is DVR in action, in my opinion. I didn't want to start making predictions until Hannibal's DVR ratings came in, and now it feels like predicting stuff is pointless since stuff is already being renewed.

Why is that article claiming Raising Hope and Enlisted are on the bubble? Those are in far worse shape than Rake. Interestingly, I think we're going to see some Friday moves based on how full their schedule is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this look almost like a full year schedule with something new airing during every potential hiatus? Before that disastrous Lone Star season, Lie To Me was going to become a solid summer show, that got moved and canned due to them needing shows. I also think Almost Human will be renewed, and Dads will be canceled. So, just throwing out a temp schedule, here's what you have.

Monday:

Bones
Sleepy Hollow

Tuesday:

New Girl (wishful thinking right?)
New comedy/Enlisted
B99
Mindy

Wednesday:

New Drama/American Idol
New Drama/American Idol

Thursday:

New Drama/American Idol
Glee

Friday

Almost Human
New Drama Fall/Spring The Following

I put those shows on Fridays because they both do well in DVR, and they don't really have good enough ratings to stay on the real weekdays anymore.

Is Sleepy Hollow sticking with 13 episode or will it jump to 22 next year?
TV Ratings Discussion Quote
03-07-2014 , 09:36 PM
I find it hard to believe it won't jump to 22. I think they're experimenting with short runs to see how the audience responds to each show. Since they've already set the short run precedent with The Following, they don't really have an excuse for not keeping middling performers on 13 episode runs. For big performers for them, like Sleepy Hollow, I think they'll expand them to 22, because it makes things easier. I wouldn't be surprised to see Almost Human stay at 13, because I think that show would really drag at 22. FOX is currently doing a lot of things they wouldn't have done even 3 years ago, so this is a big deal, I mean really big deal to set that The Following renewal precedent so early. We have a new drama bubble at FOX, and it is 1.6.

We could maybe even say that shows that are 1.6-1.8 would get 13, and anything higher would get 22.
