What he's talking about just happened 2 pages ago. It's not sarcasm, you just have no clue wtf your talking about.

You realize that he is talking about his own post, right? I assume he knows whether or not he was being sarcastic.

Apparently trying to correct for the Barbie/Ken Dolls in S1 being a total red herring

Clayton's theory becoming more plausible after tonight's episode. Not sure if I am happy I clicked on his spoiler or not tbh, hadn't crossed my mind.

something I noticed:
Spoiler:
there was a brown sedan at the Purcell dad's place in 1990

Season 1 gave us The Raid for episode 4. That episode's tracking shot took the season from great to exceptional.

Season 2 gave us Down Will Come for episode 4. That episode's shootout took the season from decent to dog ****.

What will season 3 give us for episode 4........

Another solid episode. I like that the 1990 stage has started to take on more life.

I thought so too while I watched much of the ep...

Spoiler:
but I don't think they would have put the scene with his wife being so menacing in the hallucination if she was truly the show's supervillain

This season is so boring. What am I missing? Feel like everyone who says its incredible is just biased some way from season 1 and 2.

ya season 2 was so fantastic I feel like ppl are just saying season 3 is awesome without really appraising it on its own merits.

Season 2 was so bad that it is practically impossible not to over rate season 3 but having said that I liked the first two episodes so far. Even ignoring season 2 they are decent. The show is rarely fast paced.

i told yall not to click it if you wanted to enjoy the show

even if my theory is wrong it ends up burrowing in your mind and stays there

To me it's all about the mood, the acting, the suffering of all the characters. there's also a feel thats distinctly TD. I'd say E3 was maybe the weakest of the 3 and it was still fantastic.

Also glad I haven't clicked any of the spoilers in here. I have no idea.

Yeah I definitely spent E3 looking for evidence to disprove Clayton's theory (and found none myself, but Spin2Win's point above is interesting. I kind of wish I hadn't looked too, but I'm still enjoying the show. Agree E3 was a tick down from E1/E2, but still can be a solid episode in an excellent season.

I think that was meant to be somewhat obvious - it was the very next scene after they discussed it, right?

Not really a spoiler but following off your spoiler:

Spoiler:
gf and I were both like "okay, so we see the brown car obviously, but is that a nice, upscale car by 1980 standards???"

And who the hell knows? Every car in this show looks ****ty to my biased modern eyes. Except for whatever Stephen Dorff was driving.

I thought you were trying to mention dorf(Tim Conway), I had to google "dwarf golf comedian for the name".

Lol! I loved the name Pizzolatto when I first saw Nath in Cardplayer a decade ago, and then received further joy when I saw Nic directing True Detective.

I don''t think Clayton's theory is realistic at this point. I think it's most likely Amelia's role is
Spoiler:
She causes Purple Hayes to get fired for something she does to help her book.

Really like the season so far. Just wish they didn't try to mimic the Rusty "time" monologues. Pretty cringe-worthy with Amelia.

Roland is really good.

I hope it's more sinister
