Bump for tonight's premiere. If you like Daddario (i.e. if you're a man with a pulse), you're guaranteed to enjoy at least one scene...

Pretty solid first episode except I thought McConaughey's character was a little too over the top. I felt like I was watching Ron Burgandy after he gets fired in Anchorman. Ill watchvthe whole miniseries for sure though.

The intro reminded me of true blood a little bit. Was even better than I hoped .

Wifey and I loved it. Not sure how they're gonna turn this into a series but should be interesting to watch. McConaughey's character in present time is great. We both laughed pretty hard when he blew the ($10?) bill across the counter.

Ah, is this a miniseries? That what explain why the same director did every episode - very unusual for TV afaik. A lot of effort was put in technically seems to me, this was by far the best TV has looked (of anything I can think of).

Anyways also explains how they managed to land MM/Woody if it isn't a regular series. Looking forward to the rest.

I read it will be turned over for each new season, new case and cast.

Brother Mouzone, that's who the guy was, it drove me nuts every time I saw him.

Additionally woodys line about being basic with a big ass Dick was similar to bunks line in the bar with freamon. The wire is strong in this one. Can't wait for next week.

Anyone else think that the present day cops might think Woody and MM are suspects and are doing sly interrogations?

I thought they did a good job making MM look older for the present day stuff but Woody looks the same age in both.

This show is pure win. McConaughey, man, he was tremendous here. Top notch directing. I've seen the word 'mesmerizing' thrown around in reviews and that's pretty much how I felt. The score deserves mention too.

I think it's obvious that MM's character is a suspect.

Woody's character had a lot less hair in the present. I noticed no wedding ring in the present.

MM is incredibly gaunt in this, someone should tell him to eat. Must've made this around same time as Dallas Buyers Club.

I've watched all three airings and am about to watch it on demand. I'm gonna look for more clues if there are any. Definitely think Woody sleeps with the girl who brought him the documents at the station. Did you see the way he straightened his shirt and tie when she walked in?

thought it was epic.
one thing I didn't pick up on was why they randomly started investigating the missing child case.
what was the connection to their case?

also don't think they were trying to be subtle about him ****ing that chick that came to the station.

A+ imo. MM has been incredible in almost everything in recent years. Enjoyed seeing Brother Mouzone and Freamon. I didn't get why they started investigating the missing little girl either. I must have missed something.
