After all the wonderful tone and darkness throughout the series, ending it with a cheesey good vs evil MM soliloquy seems like a really poor choice.

he wasn't the head guy, they alluded to that. he was part of something much larger that they didn't crack. and the battle goes on.

ultimately why some bodies are displayed doesn't really matter. it's a detective story.

Was flipping out when he got Rust clean and good then Marty goes does down I'm screaming NOOOOOOO, but yeah no way it'd end like that. Awesome season will go down as top top and is in my personal top 5.

the first 40 minutes including the confrontation were entertaining but mostly ordinary derivative stuff. the preachy ending was gawd awful and NOT believable for MM's character (although given he is religious in real life probably should have been expected his nihilistic character wouldn't hold up).

Wtf was with scars British accent at the beginning

Could have done without the supernatural talking to mm while he's chasing him, sorta cheapened it

I feel pretty unsatisfied

Really didn't learn anything new in the last ep. Would have been great to see some more detail with the whole cult/religion crew or the Carcosa/Yellow King. I kept waiting for some big twist at the end, but it was just bromance time. Sigh.

It's actually, to repeat something earlier in the thread, a horror movie. That was the best 8 hour long horror movie in history.

"I don't understand why the ****ing insane serial killer/pedophile did some weird ritualistic **** with some of his victims but different ritualistic **** with some of his other victims" is not a really well thought out nit. This **** isn't Heat, Childress wasn't a hardboiled professional.
