Gregory definitely has a place near the lead of this race.
he's been very successful in PDX at Departure, and fellow PDX S12 chef Doug Adams has also found a home with Bullard.

1/2 way into latest ep -

Kelsey&Brooke - strong positive
The limited ingredients for the challenge - strong negative. The more gimmicky the challenge the more the variance, and less that skill will impact results.

the less gimmicky the challenge, the more likely we are to see them cook the same thing every time.

this isn't Top Scallops.

weeeee Steph and Karen in the final 6!!

Steph is clearly one of the weaker ones left but I think Karen could make the top 3. Both super cool ladies!

Voltaggio and Gregory HU for the title obv

They are getting a lot of mileage out of Voltaggio's laugh, which I approve of. It's awesome.

Hahah my wife and I were laughing about that earlier.

Glad Leanne is gone out of the remaining cast. Was scared Melissa would go. She's been killing it. So was Kevin but we saw what happened to him.

Malarkey always just hanging around.

I just hate when the gimmicks are running to a table and grabbing something, or an "auction" of stuff. You always end up with nice, not aggressive good cooks on the line for the elimination, and it has absolutely nothing to do with cooking. Like a lot of the reality tv competition, it's like chess masters playing a round of tennis for the chess championship.

Malarkey working like Littlefinger in GoT, and will quickly find the same demise.
Melissa top 3, Gregory wins.

Malarkey with another mediocre dish, again makes it through. I'm amazed he's top 5, not something I would have predicted.

I was happy to see Stephanie win the challenge. She has been one of my dark horse picks since the beginning. She seems like an excellent chef who is just lacking in some self-confidence.

I've never really bought into judging conspiracies, but Kevin's trek through Last Chance Kitchen all felt pretty contrived and obligatory, and it was so obvious that they'd get him back in that it removed a lot of the dramatic sting from his elimination. I enjoy watching LCK but this season it detracted from the show a bit for me.

Nice win for Stephanie, who I also like. Still doubt she has equity to win but it's been a nice run for her.

Nah, I think Kevin was edited positively before his return because he was returning. If he didn't win LCK he wouldn't have got such a positive edit before his elimination.

I got spoiled by sarcastic rat’s post too. it’s not a drama show so who cares really, but I think some use of spoiler tags in similar situations moving forward would be appreciated.

Episodes are fair game but LCK feels different. Not the end of the world obviously.

Oops, my bad. I had assumed people were consuming it as part of the show and not checking the thread before watching, but adding tags makes sense just in case.

Obv the show is so much more than this ( stupid comment ), but my gaydar has never been so wrong as in Malarkey's case. Never met a straight man that acts the way he does. He's entertaining and utterly annoying at the same time.

bummed at the result of the last episode but it seemed to be deserved based on the performance (or lack thereof).
