Joe having a goofy mustache and being into crystals is a little more than I can stand. Seemed like he should have gone home this week, either for the cauliflower or the mac and cheese.

I loved how he said he re-arranged his crystals and felt better, and then proceeded to have his worst week on the show.

My wife made us pause and rewind the crystal part so she could take a video of it and send to her friend. They also are into this crystal stuff.

100% seemed like Joe was the worst this week, but rather than judging on this week alone they sent Fatima home because Joe has been better in weeks past.

Yeah, I'd agree he got some help from his previous weeks. Kind of goes against Bourdain's insistence that Tom is the "moral center" of Top Chef, and that the worst person that week always goes home

I thought Adrienne was the only chef without a real shot to win but after last night even she has a shot.

Sad to see Chris go, and overall it has been a great season. That said, I dunno, but I feel like it is a bit weak at the top. Joe Sasto seems very talented, and likely the favorite, but he seems like he would just be a contender to make the finals in other seasons. Carrie has to be one of the weakest finalist contenders I can remember in many seasons.

They'd all be sacrificial lambs against the winners and probably runners up of most seasons. Maybe Joe Sasto would put up a little fight on his good days but that's about it.

This season has definitely had the fewest dishes that seemed truly creative or just legit awesome from any season that I can remember. They're all quite competent but nothing more.

agree with all comments. still an ok season, but missing the outstanding stuff.

lol @ liebrandt saying "i worked in the alps, in courchevel, and that's 18'000 feet", when the mont blanc peak is 2500 feet lower than that. (and courchevel is at ~6000 feet).

Liebrandt came across as pretty insufferable and seemed like he was talking out his ass half the time.

Agree that this season falls a bit short of previous ones, but still enjoyable.

well, she didn't have a choice for the first or last ingredient. so i have to say the whole pick-order-thing was quite rigged.
i feel her 2nd choice (brown sugar) was very strange and the 3rd pick (tomatoes) was good.

nah, i watched it again before posting to make sure. first round was meat only (joe even says "i didn't want to give adrienne the fish"). afterwards it was pick whatever you want, but the picking order stayed the same, so her fourth pick (garlic) was just the last product that was last left.

I am enjoying this season because it seems like a very nice group of chefs who all get along well and respect each other. However the cooking is not really anything to get very excited about, there's no one where I am thinking "I'd love to go to that chef's restaurant."
