AMC Renews 'The Terror'

AMC announced today that The Terror will be returning for a second season. The good news follows a solid debut outing this past spring that garnered critical acclaim and healthy viewership.

The show is the cable network's first to follow an anthology format, where each new season focuses on a contained story in a new setting with a different cast. While its first season followed the perilous voyage of the British Royal Navy in the 1800s, Season 2 will take place during World War II, this time following a mysterious specter that terrorize a Japanese-American community from its home in Southern California to the internment camps to the war in the Pacific.

AMC has ordered another 10 episodes for Season 2 of The Terror, which will return in 2019."

Pumped for season 2 even though no Jared Harris

I am happily surprised. This has worked well for Fargo. Same premise, same creators, fresh actors and plot should be a winning formula.

Although True Detective on HBO proves it can be done badly as well.

It's written by the guy who has mostly written not very good comedies(Hangover II and III, lol, how the **** did someone get a writing credit for The Hangover II it was literally the first movie in a different setting) and that ****ty Snow White expanded universe Huntsman movie so maybe not quite so hyped as that.

It's supposed to be different. As discussed only a couple of posts above, each season is a standalone story.
