I didn't expect this to this level but this was very emotional, I had goosebumps when they entered the beach and an almost constant weird smile on my face due to having Survivor in my life for over a decade now. I avoided spoilers beforehand so I only know a handful of them confirmed on this season.

No major beefs with this cast apart from maybe Michele. Then I looked at the winners list and it's obvious that from the female winners they almost had to invite everybody for a 50/50 split.

This might be the most nonathletic cast in quite a while maybe ever due to having a much higher age average but I don't mind at all, I like to see the struggle.

Parvati's smile hasn't lost a beat, it's still mesmerizing.

Fire-tokens at first glance feels like a nice twist with lots of options. It's a nice way to introduce idols and advantages into the game rather than hiding them in plain sight.

Fun start to the season very excited for this. Having this and Allstar Aussie Survivor at the same time is just showering us with Survivor goodness.

It never even crossed her mind either, like hey Rob now has more coins and will get something maybe

At least he's somewhat aware of it. Won't save him in the longrun but GOATS need goats and coattails, too.

The situation as a whole was great, though.
It was a treat to see how Boston Rob turned Danny from wanting to vote him out to be aligning with him afterwards.

I'm so sick of hearing about this GOAT crap all the little kids love these days. Bunch of clueless idiots name someone the GOAT but just blink and you'll see them change their mind and name someone else the GOAT. It's like, who is the flavor of the week?

Obviously, this will not determine who the GOAT is because not even all of the best winners (or players) are on this season and it's lol sample size of 1. It's pretty obvious who the best players are (at least it makes me feel better to believe so even though we'll only actually watch like 10 hours of content and it's heavily edited).

If one really wanted to go after Rob they should have kept Amber in the game. That would have made Rob a bigger target to his own tribe. Now, his tribe has less of a reason to target him.

It was nice to see Poker Night in America get so much airplay on episode 1.

Parvati leaving her ten-month old baby is the most savage move of the season

It’s not 1950.

Good point, the mother-baby bond is such a dated concept.

Either Ben is really that much of a bumpkin, or they went out of their way to edit him that way. Or just maybe it's a little bit from column A, a little from column B.....

And LOL at Ethan (from my hometown!) being a total deer in the headlights. Still great though to see him there after what he's overcome.

Agree about Michelle just taking up space. At least the producers basically admitted it by doing a replay of the final vote from her season.

Having watched the Poker Night Live episode, I dont think Kim is super tight with those other guys (it also seemed like her first time playing poker). The linchpin to take out would be Tyson, but they need him in challenges

The Boston Rob, Parvati making an alliance scene and then the chuckling about nobody targeting them scene both gave me goosebumps in the GOT style two-rulers-of-major-lands-coming-together-for-the-first-time type way. Just so awesome seeing two Goliaths put on a clinic before their first tribal.

Agree with all this except for the nonathletic cast. Age doesn't mean anything and you can tell the savvy ones kept some strength but gained weight intentionally before the season started. Girls like Sarah, Kim, etc look like physical beasts and even Parvati looks amazing considering she had a kid less than a year ago. Guys like Wendell, Tony and Ben are in fantastic shape.

Was super happy to see a physical challenge immediately.

I got chills seeing who was there as well. They got some really good case members who should bring it strategy wise.

The two most boring women out first IMO. So that's a good sign for the season. Amber never had any type of chance anyway.

Does anyone know if the supply of Fire Tokens is fixed, or will they add some during the season? Just trying to think how the money supply will impact market value of items you can buy/sell.

I never watched his original season, but Yul does seem really likable and I can understand why he was called great in some earlier season threads.

As for giving the idol to Sandra, I just think she picks some who she expects to be most vulnerable to maximize the chances of them buying the idol. If they do have some challenges on Edge of Ex. it would make more sense to give idol to some challenge beast, though.

Tyson casually saying 9-5 is not for him.

Early thought... my girl Sophie is in a fantastic position, being the B to Yul's A in a swing alliance between two huge target alliances.
