That vote made no sense

ugh, didnt want to lose morgan this early. that hurt. so unnecessarily too! kudos to james for the correct read on dom's idol situation, but his voting strategy made 0 sense. he was basing his strategy off dom voting for angela, meaning his tribe could vote out whoever they wanted. good start. but then why is he worried about dom using his idol? even if he uses it on himself, if you know they're voting out angela it doesnt matter. and if you believe he has the idol, then you should absolutely vote him out now when you have the chance.

like to have the (correct) read that dom has both a real idol + chose to show them all a fake idol and tell them to vote angela - and then also be scared hes gonna use it on himself but also vote your tribe out, like what?! he's telling you everything hes doing. and you're believing it because thats why you're voting morgan out instead of angela anyways. just so stupid. sucks for morgan, shes basically the innocent bystander vote when people are trying to dodge an idol. and she was arguably playing the best post-tribe swap since she got libby to her side.

also wtf is libby doing not making sure to protect morgan there. having a close cross-tribe ally is huge. you dont want to just throw that away. and you know its about to be 4-4 again. so if im her i would much much rather vote out anyone else, even angela, to keep morgan.

its crazy that the original livitu (or w/e its called) had such a huge advantage with winning first two immunities and getting two 5-4 tribes, yet they are doing so bad. they could have easily plowed through this game. but they are gonna keep having their own members voted off on this tribe, and then michael found an idol on the other tribe and they all seem way too comfortable. sometimes it helps to have the experience of going to tribal to make it game on, and to build trust with each other. and lol @ the lawyer guy complaining that theres dirt on this island. you havent even been to tribal yet man. and hes complaining about the living conditions lol. what a joke

i have no idea why people keep saying this when everyone on survivor seems to really like him. and...thats what matters.

i mean obviously any random person only has a 1/17 shot right now which is less than 6%. so no one has a great shot. but i dont see why theres such a strong sentiment that donathan is drawing dead. everyone likes him and roots for him. just look at the reaction when he came back from ghost island and they were all so happy to see him. i think he'll be around for a while tbh

Yeah that was definitely some stupid FPS. With the swap being so early in the game they really should have been ecstatic at the idea of being able to unanimously vote off Angela. Even if they still hold the power going forward it is a horrible move to blindside half the tribe at this early stage. It wouldn't have been so bad if they had removed the idol threat but they didn't even do that. The only two options that should have been entertained were voting out Angela or voting out Dom.

Libby "not being dumb but playing dumb" Vincek ended up voting out a close ally in favour of someone who voted for her to leave. Well played not dumb Libby.

So Libby has a bit of the Ciera Eastin in her. We'll see how it works out.

literally cant stop laughing at how dumb the brain child of Dom/Morgan/Wendall are. Dom is another wannabe Tony. Completely button-clicking and playing level 1. How many times is he gonna tell people about idols/fake idols before he realizes that doesnt build trust.

The OG 4 now have Angela on their side too, plus Chris when he comes back. James played it pretty elite, agree with jcohen that Dom was the perfect play but still James did well to flip the entire tribe in their favor now.

Huge lol @ Chris thinking you can just come in and tell people your plan without gaining their trust first. Its like he has no idea how survivor works. Also when he broke down completely proving that his tough guy/no respect for anyone is just projecting his insecurities is great. The way he talks down to people really is insufferable. Doesn't even know he's doing it which I could only imagine what it's like irl to deal with that.

Still not hitching my wagon to anyone. Game seems pretty wide open tbh, should make for a great season. Both episodes so far have delivered

I'm impartial about the move, I think it's too circumstantial to really say. But still having the Dom/Chris feud there should bode pretty well for them. Dom and Wendell will have to trust somebody so doubt all ties are lost there.

Dislike the early swap. In all honesty, I found it tough to remember who was on what tribe previously, so it wasn't always clear to me who was backstabbing their original tribe.

+1 million to whoever it was saying "Can't we just vote out at least ONE of theirs before we start making moves?"

they would normally just show Michael looking for & finding the idol. Im convinced they showed us the girls searching just for stephanie and jenna bending over

not sure whether it was planned, but I have a theory it’s their mechanism from preventing tribes to get lopsided. had they split the first two immunities and it was 9-9, maybe they’d keep it the same. And perhaps it’s their plan to switch whenever a tribe has 2+ more people than the other tribe since it sucks when the same tribe just dominates

no idea if that’s true or not, but this is the first time they’ve gone back to 2 tribes instead of 3 for a while, so it makes sense to me as a good fix

either way I think they’ve learned that swaps are good because then the alliances are scattered post-merge instead of having 2 obvious sides

I would strongly not recommend saying how you’re underrated and you’re capable and willing to lie when it suits you - in front of everyone at tribal. save that for a confessional. felt like when Jacob immediately said “I set a trap” when they sent him to ghost island.

Maybe they think that Dom in the game to maximise the dysfunction of the other tribe with Chris is the best option. I think it was a good play if they didn't trust Dom, if he did play the idol on Angela and they were lying you're ****ed. Better to be safe.

Between a tribe swap this early, plus the Ghost Island angle, the whole season comes across as way too gimmicky. Also, the cast was clued into the idea of Ghost Island being to reverse the curse of past mistakes, so isn't it likely that they can guess some of the things that will be introduced into the game and thus be able to plan accordingly? In the end there probably will be some crazy moments, but maybe less to like if you're a "Survivor purist".

I don’t get how anyone could complain about ghost island when so far 2/3 times nothing has happened, and the other was a 5050 on a fairly insignificant advantage

what are you worried about them being able to guess? how would it be any different than what they’d normally guess? if anything it’s kind of better because it limits all the twists to things that have already happened, so there can’t be any crazy new twist

i kind of think it was a 100/0 that Jacob would get the legacy advantage.

Sucks to see Morgan go but that was a good move by James. Libby should have fought harder to keep Morgan though.
