They are currently filming, so it's still a few months away.

Laurel showing super high level awareness of her standing in the game. Love it. Not even sure what I'd choose for this vote if in her shoes.

If she knew that Wendell is feeling a weird vibe from her, for sure vote Chelsea as it seems likely Wendell is going to use his idol. Doesn't seem like she thinks she has done anything to make him suspicious, however.

Lol it really must be so nice to be on a season of survivor and be propped up by 2 people who are actively playing for 3rd and 4th

was Donathan trying to flush Wendells idol? Or is he just a troll?

Meh... Seems like the right play in those circumstances. Try to flush an idol, but get rid of one of the girls. You can make the exact same move on Dom/Wendell at 7 and end up in a better end game position than you would have making that move tonight.

However, Wendell not playing his idol suggests he was more in the loop than we were shown.

Think Donathon was a plant last night. He’s like Dom and Wendell’s personal house elf.

If they don’t make a move next week.....

Anyone watching survivor New Zealand and South Africa. NZ is a lot better than season 1 so far and the first episode of South Africa had a guy literally eating the immunity idol clue so no one would find it lol

Yeah I'm watching both. NZ is definitely better than last season for sure but that premiere for South Africa was amazing. Marthius is an incredible find, them finding his FTC speech was unreal.

Exactly. If Donathan and Laurel had gone with the girls they'd be #s 4 and 5 in that group. Personally if I were them I'd get rid of Kellyn next week, then Dom & Wendell and then bring Angela to final 3. The way this season is shaping up seems to be whether Laurel is going to have the minerals to oust Dom and Wendell, since she's had so many confessionals talking about her conundrum that they're such big threats to win, yet they're her alliance. I'm thinking that is the storyline, and a Dom/Wendell winner will have meant she didn't, and a Laurel win will have meant she did.

Kellyn is the ****ing worst. You can tell she's one of those people who takes everything so damn personally. The way she saw the 4 boys get picked as if they were all aligned, where the truth is that Sebastian made all 3 decisions on who to take. And how it was such a personal affront to her that Wendell gave up the loved one reward. Although if I were him, before taking the offer, I would've asked Jeff if I did hypothetically give up the reward, if someone else could get it in my place. At least try to gain some good will from the losers.

Can't believe I'm saying this but Angela was looking kinda hot during the intro of her daughter at the challenge.

I forgot, can we talk preview speculation itt?

She didn't even think it through. One of the four was going no matter what.

I thought of a play I'd try when down to F6-8. Would require an immunity challenge where Probst offers food or reward for not participating. Would be a "good guy" and say "Jeff, to help people make their decision, I'll read my reward." then I'd pull out a piece of parchment paper from a previous immunity idol clue or something I managed to obtain earlier in the game, and say "You are entitled to a second life in this challenge"...or some sort of big advantage depending what type of challenge it was..

then ideally everyone else would just choose to get the food, and I'd get immunity.

A little risky, but would be epic for TV.

It was stupid to pick all the guys for the family reward. I don't think any other of the guys would have made that mistake. Could have a major impact on the game. I think the obvious pick was to pick Angela & Dom first because they had their daughter/spouse over, and then to pick Wendell or Donothan. I don't think anyone would've had a problem with that.

Agreed Wendell should've negotiated with Jeff about giving someone else a shot at family. I might even think if Jeff says no it's a better idea to send one of the girls off so that they don't have an entire day together with 4? Especially since it seems unlikely that they'd give a big advantage in this spot (=getting an automatic advantage).

Really confused that Wendell didn't play his idol, seems like a mistake or we were shown a stupid edit.

Finally, Kellyn is just a bad contestant. I understand this game is an emotional roller coaster but holy **** she has seemed crazy af during the past 2 episodes.

I don't think Probst would let this fly. At absolute best, he'd say something like "housenuts making a big claim, but is it true". At worst, he'd be "this is NOT a secret advantage".

As for this episode, I'm fine with Laurel soldiering along. It would be pretty foolish to see her and Donathan jump to be the bottom two of a new alliance of five (Kellyn/Chelsea/Angela are all clearly aligned). It's much better to keep the meat shields for another episode, because once Dom and Wendell are gone, who's going to be looked at as the biggest threat? Being a switching power couple is absolutely ideal - take out Chelsea now, next week "oh we have to get Dom" and you vote with Angela/Kellyn. Week after Wendell/Sbass are desperate - "ok let's take out Kellyn". Week after, Angela is on an island by herself - "ok let's take Wendell".

Do you ever see anyone from the Angela/Kellyn able to work with the Dom/Wendell/Sbass side? I don't. Being the power couple willing to work both sides is just crushing.

The play is fine. I think laurel is the new favorite to win. I think she only loses to Wendall at this point and I think she has the best chance to make the final

Now you can work with kellyn and Angela and vote off Wendall/Sebastian/Dom. Think donathen was trying to flush the idol but that might be giving him too much credit

I think the final 4 fire-making is really hurting Laurel.

she has to get Wendell and Domenick out before final 4, and they have idols

I'd rather take my chances of being at the bottom of the girls alliance than be at the bottom of Wendell and Dom's where I have zero chance to win the game.

At final 5, Laurel and Donathan should be able to easily pitch to whoever the swing vote is to join with them to take out Wendell and Dom. Of course, hii's could affect this strategy.

Even if they could successfully swing the pothead or whoever to their side, one of W or D is making the f3 and then they're drawing dead.

Donathan and Laurel are in no way drawing dead against Dom and Wendell at a ftc. They're well liked and well trusted, and have made plenty of moves. Also, we have 0 knowledge on their various fire making abilities. I mean, I assume Donathan would be terrible at it but the other 4 (I'm including Sebastian here in this hypothetical final 5 scenario) could be terrible or great at making fire, and it wouldn't be surprising either way.
