Interesting. I think I'd agree with most folks that this season (so far) isn't
a great intro or re-intro to the series. (Maybe consider S28 Cagayan - brains/brawns/beauties if you're looking for a fun modern season). Survivor can definitely be fun to watch with a SO though.

at least we got those out of the way. should be more interesting now with donathan and laurel the only malolos left, but should be safe.

Dom was right. Every time there was a tribe reconfiguration niviti outnumbered malolo. You'd think that maybe once there would have one tribe with malolo on top. Would have changed the whole season.

How do you figure? Playing the idol on himself in that spot was clearly the only reasonable option.

Two terribly played tribals tonight by michael and jenna. What purpose did their votes serve? Michael voted for Wendell. Why? He executed the difficult part of stirring up trouble and it worked but then he decides to randomly vote for Wendell? That made no sense.

I guess Laurel told him to vote for Wendell? But, even that doesn't make sense. Why didn't Kailyn just tell him she had the extra vote. It was very simple.

And Jenna. What advantage does she gain by voting for Donathan? Not only does it make her look slimy as hell but there was zero benefit. I guess she didn't want to vote against the other remaining three to not piss them off?

If the other 3 vote for Donathan and no idol is played your vote is pointless. If the 3 vote for you, and donathan uses his idol for you, you are able to vote for one of them out. If the 3 vote for donathan, and he uses his idol on himself, you are able to vote for one of them out.

Like, it served no purpose and it was petty and slimy as hell. It was one of the most disgusting and most pathetic moments in survivor history and I wish Donathan realized what happened in the moment.

Yeah, I agree. It was a high leverage spot. I am not sure it's close. Especially when Jenna comes up with the whole it's definitely going to be me they told me to my face. Why would the other three ever tell someone that honestly to their face?

They are all needed. Chris has no self awareness but he added something to this season.

However, I expect Naviti will finish off the pagonging in the next couple of weeks, in spite of preview hype to the contrary.

Think Dom and Wendel are playing a near perfect game right now. Dom used an idol when he didn't have to but it was the legacy one and imo was a good decision.
