I would have never thought of smuggling in matches in a small tube up my rear.

I'm not even sure whether to believe that it's true. But even if it is, how are they going to prevent it? It not like they're cavity searching everyone.

I guess they could x-ray everyone. But I really doubt that's happening also.

Is David vs Goliath worth watching?! If not I'm gonna start watching this season.

Is this thread just for Extinction Island or for Survivor in general too? This post is about Survivor in general...

Thoughts on these rankings of Survivor seasons? I don't remember a lot of the seasons very well but this seems like generally solid ordering to me.

Re-watched Cook Islands again because of this list and thought it was great. Yul played a virtually flawless game that season. I would say he's the best to ever play the game, but he only played the game once, while someone like Parvati put in three good performances with two of them close to perfect (she deserved to win HvV imo), so I think she would get my vote for the very hard to quantify title of "Best Player Ever." Who would you say is the GOAT?

Mount Rushmore: Rob Mariano, Parvati Shallow, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Russell Hantz

Agree with the rest of your list (though there might be others better than Sandra) but Russell played utterly terrible his second and third times. Even though he made it to the end the second time he would have suicided himself if not for Tyson’s inexplicable rogue vote, and everyone disliked him so much by the end because of his unnecessary and chaotic actions that he was drawing dead to win no matter who he sat beside.

He also completely lucked into getting his second idol gifted to him by JT and it was Parvati who soul read and successfully used the idols on other people to swing the numbers to their side. He made so many pointless moves and also had the huge advantage of being the only one on the show no one had watched play.

Yes but Samoa (his first season) is worth watching just for his total dominance and then what happens at the end, which is probably the biggest robbery in Survivor history.

There's also been a couple of notable people in my mind who just ran the season from start to finish. Brian Heidik, Tom Westman and Kim Spradlin. They would all get an honorable mention for my hall of fame.

Brian, Kim, and Yul would be better than everyone on that Mount Rushmore, or ever, if they repeated their performances for a second season or more. Really want to see how they would do on an all winners season. Survivor, make it happen!

I hate this list.

Cook Islands and Philippines are way overrated. China, One World, Redemption Island, and All-Stars are also too high.

Nicaragua, South Pacific, Worlds Apart, Samoa, and Guatemala are way too low.

I'm not sure if you are aware of it, but the point of the game is to have people vote for you at the end. /old argument.

I must admit I don’t remember any of those people with the exception of Tom who I think was the grey haired guy who caught the shark and got the dolphin trainer to gift him final two and a sure win out of guilt.

While I have come around over the past few years and now agree with this (the game is the game, agreed), I still devalue any winner whose prime reason for winning is the simple fact that he/she is not Russell Hantz.

Kim's season was #24 and it's probably one of the most dominating start to finish plays in Survivor history. I'd put it up there with Boston Rob's win.

Oh ok makes sense I don't remember her since One World is one of only two or three Survivor seasons that I've never watched.

I didn't think Cook Islands was overrated and Redemption Island had Rob putting on a clinic plus Philip being an entertaining buffoon and is already rated very low, but I think I generally agree with the rest of your adjustments based on my largely vague memories. I'm glad someone else doesn't hate Nicaragua, because I thought I must be crazy for remembering it as a decent season after seeing how much vitriol they had for it in their description.

Eagerly awaiting tonight's episode of Extinction to be uploaded, although glancing at the comments I'm managing my expectations

God is very busy. Apparently he needed to help Dwayne Wade hit that game winner first before answering Keith.
