Letting them go back is really dumb.

Voting guys like Joe and Ozzy out when you KNOW there's a redemption is honestly just doing them a favor

When they got back to extinction island after losing the 'get back in' chance, they raised the flag and went to eat.

I totally missed Wendy and Keith quit. Must have been looking at my phone. I rewatched the end of the challenge and they are both celebrating when Jeff gave them another chance. Weird

I suspect the extinction people are attending jury because one of them will get back in and potentially be on the jury later, and should have full knowledge. I would guess that they will all attend until such time as their next challenge, after which the losers will be sent packing.

I do not understand Kelley's gameplay. There were only two people at Extinction island that would have been open to working with her, Rick and Aubry. Instead of trying to bring him back into the fold she just didn't seem to even consider that.

Her scene talking with Joe was atrocious. Joe was literally telling her that he and Aurora were on the outs and he didn't feel good about the other Kama members and she cuts him off and tells him that she thinks Devins and David will flip.

And then her and Lauren decide to tell all the women that it should be an easy vote to get out Rick. In what world are they going to listen to her and go with that plan?

I'm just so sad all around this episode. I want my people to work together, but they just won't. It's aggravating. Like watching Tom and Jerry. I understand that Kelley/Lauren and David/Rick were at odds in the beginning, but they need to put that behind them. These Kama Newbs DO NOT want returning players in their space. There is no where to go with those people. Joe and Kelley needed to come to that consensus and put the full court press on Rick and Aurora to come with the bad news bears and their two idols to flip the script on Kama.

And Rick, ffs, your new 'alliance' came and gave you marching orders, but did not share information about who they wanted to target. That's not a good spot. And I know I'm asking a lot for him and/or David to recognize that fact and make an attempt to woo Kelley and company when she was trying to throw him under the bus, but what real choice do they have? The non-returning Kama's are going to kill them all if they don't band together and do something about it.

F!

Thoughts while watching-

- glad Rick won. He's probably the most likeable cast member this season. Rooting for him.

- JFC CBS how many chances do we have to give these losers? No one wants to see these players back in the game. Like NO ONE. Looking forward to weekly seeing the look on the face of whoever's voted out when they see that these shmucks are still around.

- it's so idiotic for Kelley to be thinking to get rid of Rick instead of realizing that all she has to do is bring over Joe + just 1 more and she'd have the majority.

- not sure I understand the 2 piece idol. Giving a piece to someone else doesn't imply that you're going to let them use it after next time. It just means that you essentially have a hidden immunity idol, but that you must divulge to one other person that you have it, and that you will only be able to use it if you and the person you divulged to survive the next Tribal. Eh... kinda dumb.

- seems like the wrong decision by the 6. Their #1 goal should be to get it down to 6-5 with no issues, and then just take out the other 5. By voting out Joe instead of Kelley, they also lose Aurora. Now, she has every incentive to flip on them and if the other 5 can put their differences aside, they can knot it up 6-6 easily. Plus they could definitely get the Kama 6 to vote for Kelley and have her play her idol. It was very dumb of them to not consider them potentially losing Aurora as a result of this vote.

- I agree there was some pretty bad gameplay this episode. Everyone gets a D this episode. Even Ron's judgment seemed to be clouded by his want to get rid of Joe so badly.

The vote was all about idols. They knew Joe didn't have one. They had no idea if Kelley or David or Lauren had one, so they went the safe route and got rid of Joe.

that challenge to see who gets back to the game was probably the most exciting survivor challenge I've ever seen. gutted for wendy but happy for devens.

I'm ashamed to admit I paused at wendy's camel toe.

Didn't see Devins taking that challenge but he's a much better winner than Chris. Chris would have been voted out immediately again. At least it makes the David/Devins alliance a bit valid again in that they are two people that can now swing things potentially.

Kelly must have known people were voting out Joe because I couldn't believe she didn't play her idol. Editors did another good job.

Julie's stock is rising. She flew under the radar on a killer tribe and will be an II beast likely - but nobody seems to notice (yet).

So happy to see Keith and Wendy finally quit. Don't know why Reem is sticking around except that she literally has nothing better to do.

So does this mean the jury could potentially be huge?

Wait, did Keith and Wendy quit? I thought they left because they were the ones in last place when devens won.

I think Jeff's opinion of them quitting was adequately communicated via how quickly their quit scene was handled (seems like half the people ITT didn't even realize they'd quit).

As for Joe, I think there's a little bit of recency bias coloring their decisions. Remember, his tribe has won basically every single reward/immunity tribe, and often they show post-challenge discussion of how Joe is carrying the teams to victory every single time. I think there was (likely unwarranted) fear on their part that he would win every II challenge for the rest of the game.

100%. It could EASILY have been 6 vs 6

On the bright side I feel vindicated for destroying this cast of returning players before the season began. They have been terrible

There were 13 of them last night so it couldn't have been 6 vs 6. But next week it could be.

Kelly thought that they were going to vote out Rick as per her suggestion. She was just as blindsided by the result as everyone else (outside of the Kama 6).
