This seemed like a futile attempt at developing a cliff hanger for what is in inevitability. Although, I may look like a fool when Keith decides against staying in next week's episode.

The dancing theatrics from Ron and his tribe mates was very cringe worthy. This was perhaps the clearest moment that I've had where I knew that I couldn't make it on survivor. I could not play to kick it like that.

Thoughts while watching:

- nice move by Wardog to change what he was saying on the spot when Kelley walked up

-Really Aubrey? You don't like that the newbies aren't being forthcoming about their feelings on you being in the game? I guess if they're not thrilled that you're there, they should just totally say it to your face, right? Honestly, Aubrey to me seems like a player that for some reason we think is good (maybe because she "looks" like she should be good...) but if we actually take a close look at her gameplay and social game we'd realize she really ain't that great.

-wow Keith is physically terrible. How is that happening? He's 18. He has abs.

Color me impressed with Wardog. I was concerned when he was coming on strong with his campaign against Keith, but had great self awareness when he saw that the winds were changing and he didn't want to come off too bossy.

-very glad that they didn't spend a lot of airtime on Reem and her "struggle" on the island.

- lol @ Keith not insta-taking the 2nd chance, standing there waiting for a sign from sweet Lord Jesus.

Agreed, WarDog is playing better than expected, I'm enjoying him. Liking David's returnee approach as well.

Wentworth also looking hot and the brunette in her panties is pretty good too. I'd love a tribe swap with all three of them on it.

David strikes me as a guy who is socially great, but as soon as there is anything physical he will get dropped.

Don't know why they would even cast Keith? Physically terrible, can't swim and no social game whatsoever. There are probably 1000 applicants who would be a better fit in the game rather than just casting a guy who clearly would be voted out early.

He may really have felt that enough was enough. He appeared totally unprepared for the experience. Huge miss in casting.

This is the first time in 38 seasons that I actually felt bad for the person voted off. Seems like a nice guy.

Let's assume he knows some Survivor history, and that it will be some kind of thing like redemption island with minimal provisions, and likely Reem there waiting, and that he'll probably have to do some kind of challenge to survive, and likely repeated challenges over and over, only to get back in the game with no alliances and players who see him as pathetic. Why would he go to extinction island?

Agree with others that I have no idea how a guy like this gets cast. Being unable to swim should be insta DQ; I was a little worried on the first episode that he might literally drown when they jumped off the boat.

lol

sure, she got 2nd and 4th place, surviving a total of 76 out of a possible 78 days, but she isnt actually good

she is probably doing the same things that worked for her in other seasons, but they aren't working now because she's a returning player so she can't be under the radar. so people are comparing notes on her from the start. its a tough spot being on the tribe with joe, because you know he isn't being voted out first. to say that these two episodes discredit two entire seasons of strong gameplay is just absurd

Quitting has got a really bad rap over the years. There's no shame in quitting a really harsh physical game when any honest assessment tells you that you have a 0.00000% chance of winning.

Probably somewhat specifically for these reasons since they knew it would create drama. Some of the cast is always hopeless/fodder in each season. I don’t know why he was so surprised about the boot, shoulda been obvious since he was on the outs with the tribe and performed pitifully in the challenge.

+1 Wentworth is the most entertaining and cutest character on this season imo. Thought it was a fine episode season still has potential.

Lol Keith. Lol at anyone who wants to be on Survivor not jumping at the chance to be on Extinction Island. Should never ever apply to Survivor if your instinct is not to snap-call a 2nd chance. If you don't know that the conditions on Survivor can be difficult, then you're pretty stupid.

Hate how at the end credits, they show Reem on EI, instead of the usual bootee interview and all TC votes.

Did not need to see Aubry twerking on Ron. Ugh.

Sure, Wardog has more awareness than Reem or Natalie from last season, but he appears to have brashly strong-armed everyone into changing the vote. He may say he backed off, but judging by TC results, I doubt it.

Looks like this thread is split among Victoria, Lauren, and Wentworth as the cutest. "A blonde, a brunette, and a redhead walk into a Survi-bar..."

I think I'll stop watching this season just based on how many ugly or fat or malnourished players there are

The thing is, it's not really a second chance to win. If you're Keith, you know you're no physical threat so you're thinking you're going to go out and play a strategic social game, and you're now likely being offered the chance to play again but now a 100% physical game. Not really what you signed up for, and tbh good on him if he's self aware enough to realize it.

By definition, it is. A small chance is still a chance. You only have a small chance to win, when you first start Survivor anyway.

You don't know this, nor do you know how likely it is or not. And even if it's a small chance, that's a chance you should be jumping at, if you were jumping at the small chance to be on Survivor and win in the first place. Besides, you can always quit later, if it does indeed end up being too difficult for you. But it's just pathetic having a hard time deciding, even if he does eventually go to EI.

I got Lawon vibes from Keith there. Like he thinks it might be a trick and there could be some nonsensical benefit.

He had his game yanked away. He l probably just came to terms with the fact that he’s about to shower and eat and be comfortable. And then that is yanked away.

I think he’ll make the right choice. If he chose to leave, that wouldve been a better way to close an episode

Awful episode. This cast is not popping
Kinda liking the news anchor (Kevin?)...great sense of humor, and seems to be savvy. Great emerging dynamic with David ("okay, so it's okay if I backstab you with four left?"). Otherwise, agree, new players are meh, but some might emerge over time. It's early.

The name you're looking for is Devens. It's his last name. Rick Devens, but he's already getting the last name treatment from Probst.

Casting hit it out of the ballpark last season, so it was always going to be a tough comparison. Like you, I'm still willing to give it a few more eps before pronouncing judgment though. More character could emerge later. Seems like editing is doing this "tell everyone's story" thing, so the earlier boots are likely getting more attention than they would have in seasons past, and the longer lasting players may not have been featured as much, so there could be more personality that shines later. I mean, editing even cut out Devens' "This is awkward, but my name is also The Wardog" quip, so who knows what else is on the editing room floor.

everyone needs to retract their keith comments (about him not knowing whether to go or not) if he does go to EI. it doesn't mean anything that he hesitated for a moment. im sure it is a very shocking situation and it's a lot to process all at once.

obviously we see it coming, but no one on the show would ever see something like that coming. i think it's completely normal to have a brief omg omg phase, and of course the show is gonna leave it at a 'cliffhanger.' if he does go, he'll be no different than everyone else who decides to go. I doubt anyone looks at it and decides to go in a split second without first marveling at how crazy it is or what it means
