I wonder if Nick successfully plays his idol next time.

it’s really not tribal lines anymore though. like Angelina and Allison seem to hate each other. it’s an individual game. but ya, if Christian wanted Allison out anyways he should’ve just done it then. I thought he kept her to work with her

but he may have been between a rock and a hard place, because he’d be screwed at an all-David f5 too (assuming nick would be smart and go with Carl/Davie ahead of him/Gabby to f3)

I must have missed when Christian told everyone about his idol. When did that happen?

Also, I think his moves are probably moot anyways because he’s too big of a threat. He’s at Ben status right now, where he will have to win immunities/find idols to get to the end, and if he does he’ll win. It’s too obvious to everyone that they can’t take him, so there’s not much he can do.

He really made the mistake from the very first episode of becoming too much of a threat. Once that happens, you can’t undo it

*Yawn*

What are the odds production rigs this for Christian like they did Ben and he finds every idol to the end?

Gabby made the right move going after Christian even if it didn't work for her. He needs to go straight away.

This is an impressively stupid post.

I think voting out Carl was a massive mistake and may end up costing Christian a million bucks. I agree 100 percent with Nick, they worked so hard to get the advantage back to the Davids, and when they finally did, Christian flipped. And to vote out Carl? Dude had zero chance to win and seemed happy to ride with the Davids to the end.

Loved ones visit thoughts:

Was weird how unexcited Mike and his boyfriend seemed to see each other. They looked like they had just been set up on a blind date.

Angelina was typically insufferable bragging to her mom about how she single-handedly saved everyone from starvation.

Christian's gf was right out of central BBT casting. The awkwardness was awesome.

If a player needs a lot of reassurance and hand holding in the early going*, I think it's going to be difficult for that player to get the votes in the end. I was interested to see if Gabby could turn things in her favor, but the crash and burn of her big move put a quick end to her transformation into Keyser Soze. Even so, I enjoyed her with her game face on in these last two episodes.

*I don't buy that Christian was the only one who viewed her as being soft and emotional.

Agreed on the loved ones.

When the Carl vote happened, I assumed Christian and Gabby were planning to swing against Carl, then swing back against goliath (probably Allison), then decide whether to go for a goliathonging or try to swing against Nick/Davie. I thought Christian didn't want the Carl, Davie, Nick block to get too powerfully entrenched. I'm sure he thought he and Gabby would have options and be more in control if they got rid of Carl. Given what we've seen, I don't really blame Christian for being caught off guard by Gabby immediately turning on him. Though in hindsight, keeping Carl around might have provided him with a week or two of grace before everyone started pointing their fingers at him again...which was inevitable. Christian has been beloved by many in the game. He's been good at challenges. It's the time of the game that those characteristics can start working against you.

God I hate the family episode.

I see my family once, maybe twice a year. And when I see them, I'm like, "sup. How's it going?"

I understand not seeing your husband/wife/GF for a month would be tough, but your brother or your parents when you're an adult?

Season continues to deliver. Christian looking around to see if he should play his idol ranks as one of my favorite Survivor moments of all time.

I don't understand the Davids strat of making that great move two weeks ago only to now give up their advantage by voting off Carl and now Gabby ( really Christian).

I think she made her move too soon, since Gabby didn't have any extremely close allies aside from Christian, or anyone who would rank Gabby as their number one ally. I couldn't picture any of the Goliaths taking Gabby to the finals, even if she had succeeded in evicting Christian.

Agreed. I think if Gabby had been able to restrain herself and put up with Carl for 1-2 extra tribal councils, it would've left her, Christian, and the Davids in a much better spot.

Doesnt this make everybody think hes on their side?

he saved christian and christian knows it, the people who wanted christian out thinks Davie is on their side and he didnt betray them.

What am I missing that's bad at all for Davie here?

Yeah this seems like a smart play for Davie. If Christian doesn't play his idol then Davie loses nothing and if he does then Christian gets more benefit from not outing Davie as the leak than from outing him.

This season really is shaping up to be GOAT status.

It didn't work out for her, but props to Gabby for recognizing the hole she had dug for herself and at least trying to dig herself out. There have been countless people in her position before who just accepted their fate thinking "well I had a good run"

I really like christian but I think that's the only really good thing about him up to this point, his charisma. everyone has him as a threat but he is really not that strategic of a player. at least not the best this season. i'd say like top 5? He's been save by someone else how many times now? I'd love to see him save himself with his own plans for once.

also, lol gabbie. she had potential but all the crying around and this plan that had at least 10% of jealousy of christian's gf made me really dislike her.

my favorites up to this point:

davie
nick
christian
kara (MAN she's beautiful. the island did wonders to her)
angelina for the lulz

These people have been going through a stressful, bizarre and once in a lifetime experience for the past 30 days. They're on camera 24/7 in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by people that they have bonded with, yet they know they can't trust any of them and could be backstabbed by any of them. They're ten days away from possibly winning life changing money. Oh yeah, and they're doing it all while ****ing starving.

Seeing one of the closest people in their life show up like that has got to be such an overwhelming shock to the system, and a sense of relief to see someone that you know to your core is someone who knows you, loves you, and is truly in your corner. Frankly, I would smell a little bit of sociopath on any contestant that DIDN'T bawl their ****ing eyes out.

It was probably a really easy read for Christian when Gabby didn't spend the afternoon crying to him.
