Suppose someone plays an idol before a post-merge idol is found. Would that make them hide a second post-merge idol?
What if the post-merge idol is found and either played or otherwise removed from the game, then do they replace it?
there are definitely no official rules and Survivor can do whatever they want. typically whenever an idol is played, a new one is introduced. I would guess the same is true of someone getting voted off with an idol - basically so that a certain amount of idols are always in play.
I would assume the post-merge one is in a different location. It was kind of an unfair advantage to have these 3 all in the same spots, so that the healers got them all. I guess you could argue that’s the fault of hustlers/healers and they should’ve found it on their own tribe before swapping. They did this same thing last season when Tai found multiple so they were obviously aware that someone could easily get 2. I guess they don’t mind though

Sucks that Ali is out.
I mean, it was pretty crazy/unlikely that all 3 tribes would finish their blocks and be ‘racing’ to the finish while having to move carefully enough to not topple it. That is a pretty intriguing situation. I did like the design though; they’ve done this in individual immunities but not as a team before. I thought it was a good shift from other challenges which are pretty repetitive. This was all communication and balance.
I would like to see some more strategical challenges though. They used to have some of those every once in a while, like where it’s a giant version of some game they play each other. Or they used to do the one where Jeff reads a story and they race to answer questions about it. Now it seems like everything is some combination of a race, carrying things, untying knots, and either throwing balls at or in something, or solving a puzzle, to end it. Basically the format is always the same, but they used to vary more between types of challenges between physical with strength, speed, or balance, mental with strategy or memory, and some other creative types. Idk how hard it would be for Survivor to just crowdsource challenge ideas and pick some new good ones that are doable
