I think the healers are actually in big trouble. Already there are some solid heroes-hustlers relationships forming (Devon/Ashley and Ryan/Chrissy). That alone pretty much brings in Ali and Devon from hustlers and JP and Ben from heroes. If those tribes aligned which seems very likely at this point, they’d be up 8-6 on the healers.

Plus the healers are possibly forming cracks since Desi seemed unhappy with Joe after last episode, and Mike night not be pleased with how everyone knew about Jessica’s power and Cole still lied about it to him. Roark would be the favorite to get voted out if her current tribe loses immunity.

If they were smart, the tribe with Cole/Jessica/Mike would throw the next immunity to take out Ben or Lauren, since that’s the best way to protect the healers.

It would’ve been hard enough for them to merge with 6-4-4 numbers, but especially with certain hero/hustler bonds forming, they may not realize how screwed they are. Lauren is the only one out of the 8 hero/hustlers I could see flipping or not being loyal, but even that isn’t clear - she seemed somewhat close with Ali. Meanwhile Joe is a huge wildcard for the healers and is very divisive, they might want him out even though they need him for numbers. So basically their 6 might not even be as strong as the other 8, which is remarkable considering there hasn’t been a full merge yet. I just think the way it shaped out with Chrissy/Ryan + Devon/Ashley getting together really ties almost everyone in from those tribes.

I agree. There are red-blue bonds forming on each tribe. Yellow are the clear outcasts.

plus in getting rid of Alan, they got rid of the best chance of fractures within that side. everyone else seems to get along pretty well, at least up to this point

The problem with throwing the challenge is they have no idea if they can trust Mike. Theyve never gone and solidified themselves by voting before.

They could have thrown the last one though, easily. When Jessica had the advantage

i think the couple feels pretty close with Mike. and frankly, if you cant trust him now then you're gonna be ****ed at the merge anyways. so it would still be their best chance to talk with him and agree to throw it now. then ben and lauren would both have to plea to stay in the game, and they could try to flip one of them. would have to throw it not-obviously though

man, i thought that was the right move for ryan but did not like the execution. i dont know why he would blindside Ali instead of filling her in and trying to convince her. he's been with her since day 1, something like this completely blows up your trust. he could have just said he has chrissy and explained that its better to take out a healer since they still had all 6. ali was gonna have his back for a while, you dont want to mess that up

its also pretty telling that hes choosing chrissy over ali, which is kinda crazy considering hes only been on the same tribe as chrissy for a couple days now. i think that first superidol power was big.

and i still think healers are in trouble. its now 8-5 hero/hustler to healer, so even if Ali flips now it wouldnt be enough. and the hero/hustler bonds are so strong at this point. even lauren and ben seem to be on the same page. i think a healer massacre is coming

Was pretty obvious Roark was going given how much background they showed of Ryan and Chrissy. Only surprising thing is that he didn't key in Ali, his first mistake.

Also this episode really painted Chrissy in a terrible light, she's been getting a pretty positive edit up until this episode.

This show had jumped the shark. All the challenges are boring and I just skip through them to see who wins. Having such small tribes makes tribal council not as interesting or surprising. These people are boring.

I agree for the most part. I think the show's been evolving in a way that's taking away a lot of the skill and turning it into more of a crapshoot. More twists, more idols, more hidden advantages, etc. Cheap gimmicks to hook the audience. Having said that, this cast is pretty lame and Survivor still has the potential to be very good TV with the right group of people.

Ryan/Chrissy/Devon/Ashley/JP is an alliance that makes sense and they could have Ben/Ali/Lauren as tagalongs. The problems there are that Ali, having been betrayed by Ryan and having no allies left in the game despite being capable socially, will never let herself get carried to the end by Ryan and Chrissy. She will always turn on the alliance and Lauren would leap at a better deal too.

Healers still have five people left but if the merge were to happen right now they would be in a position where they either have to convince Ali/Lauren it's better to be at the bottom of their alliance or risk getting Pagonged.
