I mean when there's drama early isn't it only because of especially bone headed decision making? Optimal Survivor play early on will always look rather boring. With that in mind I'm going to wait many more weeks before holding out judgment for this season.

The only chance this season is entertaining at all rests on Patrick surviving and lasting long into the season. We must will him to survive tonights obvious elimination edit 7 mins into this episode.

I think it's a bad move by red tribe, because Lauren knows she's on the outs. and Patrick wouldve been right in the middle of their unit going forward. ESPECIALLY because he lacks social skills.

He was an idiot but I think he was a victim of a bad edit as well. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him as a mover and appearing on the show will only improve his business prospects imo.

This. It seems like a totally standard beginning of season for new players. Let's see how things shape up next week after the swap and later after the merge. Ali, Chrissy, and Jessica seem like good players, I'm interested to see how they do after the swaps and merge.
