Disagree. They should have targeted cowboy. She saves Katrina, cowboy goes home.

Now it's a tribe of 5: Gilfs, power couple, + lol Alan. Alan is a nutjob and he'd likely join the gilfs to break up the power couple.

As it stands, it's 4 vs 1. No way Chrissy doesn't go home next tribal if they lose.

The only benefit to not playing it is saving it as a fake idol. Cutting the paper such that the part that says it can only be used at first tribal would also be a deluxe move.

Overall, I feel it is a fairly dudly cast.

Pretty 50/50 either way on whether its right or wrong. If she uses it as a fake later than it prolly sways it towards the right play. I imagine she doesn't do it though and takes it home as a souvenir for her kids.

Dr. Mike isnt long for this game.

So apparently according to Katrina, Chrissy wasn't actually that close and was very unlikely to use her idol on her, it was mostly just an angle that production chose to show for drama.

I kind of assumed super idol could only be used on yourself.

I really hated the episode. It started off so slow, and quiet. There was so much jibber jabber before the marooning. Interspersed with confessionals right off the bat... stay in the moment ffs

It seemed like a really, lazy premiere. Production just going through the motions.
Anything will seem lackluster after Game Changers, but still.
And considering the lack of a 2 hour premiere, I assume the next tribal is a total dud.

Alan tooling out saved the episode a little.

It was very disappointing that they didnt address how Ali and Patrick know each other. Very dishonest storytelling. Although I really like Ali

Coincidentally, the way he was going at JP was reminiscent of Will Smith in Concussion. "Tell the truth! TELL THE TRUTH!"

cant judge the play because you have no idea what their relationships actually are based on just a few minutes of footage. she voted the other mom out so they prob weren't really that close

previews spoiler

Spoiler:
she seems like shes in fine shape with the tribe anyways

Heard something similar on Josh Wigler's "First one out " podcast.

she was an olympian. i think it was for swimming? i'd have liked to have seen an olympic swimmer swim in the challenges.

really stupid for a tribe to get rid of that kind of edge

The edit probably isn't showing the exact nature of the alliances though. It would not surprise me if she Ben and Alan are actually the core three in that tribe. She's in the middle of two pairs, which can often be a good thing. I don't think she will be the next out of that tribe.

Not at all, there are 3 tribes and the Hustlers looked weak, so you pick someone likely to go out early, but you bet their tribe won't go to the first Tribal. Not a bad pick at all, just didn't work out, that's all.

Did not like the episode, and am not holding out great hope for this season. Sure - I get that sometimes it's paint by numbers early on, and the editors might not have a lot to work with, but this was a really underwhelming episode both for what it was and what it likely shows us we're in store for.

Probably not an original joke, but I had very different expectations for the Hustlers (isnt that what they call their centerfolds?)

maybe i wasnt paying attention, but was it ever explained how chrissy the actuary is a hero?

or how the guy whose job is to literally carry luggage all day is 100 pounds soaking wet

Lol'ed at gummy bear. I'm rooting with you.

For all the talk of no hotties, it's a decent group. Nurse Jessica and therapist Desi are hot. Chrissy has a MILF-y quality at times. Simone is cute and has potential.

She had a career! Then was a stay at home mom! Then went back to a career! HERO!!!

If relationships were actually as shown, your plan would make sense. But it appears from Katrina's interview that things weren't as shown, and that Chrissy was closer to others than Katrina. I highly doubt that Chrissy goes home next.

Now this is genius. She has a genuine Super Idol and genuine explanation scroll. She should do what you said and then individually "trust" people and show it to them.

Nobody goes against a Super Idol, and you won't have to play it and get exposed, just threatening it will be enough. Use it to build a majority and coast to the end.

This seems like the actual case. I think it's Chrissy, Ben, and Alan vs JP and Ashley.

The team with two grandmas isnt likely to go to tribal?

I think prognosticating who goes to tribal in episode 1 is a pretty foolish strategy. I would prefer to pick someone who is likely safe even if they go to tribal.

Two grandmas, one of which is a former Olympic athlete. Plus they have a marine, a firefighter and an ex-NFL player. If the challenge had been more physical they would have destroyed it. Glad to see the producers level the playing field with that type of puzzle though.

Bellhops don't carry luggage, they push it in a big cart. But they do hook people up with things like discount tickets, hookers and party items. Definitely hustlers because they are basically working for tips. Hard to believe he wouldn't try to gain some weight or physical strength for the island though.

Obviously Joe is trying for the Tony route, but doing it really stupidly by confronting another player right away. The doc would be a perfect foil to take as a loyal ally a la Clay and then guarantee no votes for final tribal.

My early picks to go far are John and Desi.
