Michaela only featured because she played in the last season though, right? She wasn't called on the stage with the others?

That's still too many to just be consecutive boots, I like that they included the 1st and 2nd boots.

The edit indicates if he hadnt been a dumbass confronting Troy/Sandra after spying on them, that she was totally down to work with him and a Sandra/Tony/Malcolm/Aubrey/Caleb alliance could have easily stayed afloat for a while. So, I call BS on too big a target as that 5 player alliance seemed (at least according to the edit which I really disliked in that second episode) that they were willing to play together.

I think Tony was a clear boot for all players and they edited it in a way to look like maybe it would be Sandra or Tony. So they gave the viewers what they needed to see to be unsure of what would happen at tribal, but in reality everyone knew Tony was going home.

I have a feeling this is strategic to a point. I would bulk up a bit before going to the island as well.

- My first impression is she's playing way too hard and the chance of this game play getting her anywhere is really slim.

- Tony seemed to play pretty well until he ambushed Sandra and Troyzan at the well in the middle of the night.

- I like Malcolm the most so far.
Sandra has always seemed to be one to hold grudges against those taking shots at her, though never to her detriment. I wouldn't call it going too hard to say "Tony is coming after me, he has to go" when she can still pull back and do "anyone but me" after the tribe swap. She seems to have a pretty great ability to flip a switch from Beta to Alpha when need be.

She has always had this weird ability to use her overt Puerto Ricanness as a disarming tactic instead of it being grating. I come from a Puerto Rican family and have a few family members who act similar to her. A couple are super grating, and a couple have the ability to use nearly the exact same mannerisms and speech style to totally disarm a person.

Its really weird, but Sandra falls into the latter. She can tell everyone she's the queen, absolutely believe that to be true, and have everyone go "lol, oh you, you're the best" and then proceed to knock off each one in succession and then get their vote at the end when she tells them that she totally outplayed them because she's the queen.

She doesn't get votes at FTC just because everyone hates the other finalists, but because they genuinely like her.

Zeke has skeletal features of a male - specifically the cranium. Seems like some BS to me. Maybe Zeke was ducking with whoever wrote that article from Harvard (or maybe the article is just BS)

Here's the Reddit thread I found, with a link to the article https://www.reddit.com/r/survivor/co...m=comment_list

I don't think going after Tony was a bad move, but I think the force with which she did it was over the top. Subtly nudging the tribe towards voting out Tony would be possible and good play. Going HAM and cussing out Tony after he's voted out is painting a big target on her back.

I don't recall her being this abusive in past seasons or being able to flip between alpha and beta (has she ever been alpha?). If she pulls it off here I think she deserves a lot of credit, because I think there's no going back to "anyone but me".

I think the tribe swap immediately will hurt her depending on who goes where. If she gets Malcolm and Colton on a tribe of 6 with a couple of others who would flip easily (like JT) then she could be on the short end of numbers quickly and any smart players would pounce to get her out right away. I can also see Varner going back and forth easily depending on what works for him. She's already enemies with three people on her tribe alone.

Sandra probably knows that barring the game of all games, she has no shot to win because she has no chance at winning the jury vote (she even said as much to Tony).

Why not try and boss the game from day 1 so that if you get there, you have an immense resume to point to, while spending the entire game pushing the narrative that she can't win a jury vote so she doesn't get targeted? Probably won't work, but she's drawing incredibly slim coming in. I wholeheartedly applaud going big on her part.

Sandra might go far in the game not because she's some elite player but because everyone knows they can take her to the end because she will get zero votes. Sandra was drawing dead long before this season started.

I'd be interested to hear your explanations as to why you think this is the case. If it's because she's already won the game twice I think it's 100% wrong. The convo between Tony and Sandra was complete BS and they both knew it.

If anything the fact that she's won twice already would be her biggest advantage if she makes F3.

Has a jury ever not voted for someone solely because they didn't think the person "needed" the money? Because, regardless of her actual financial situation, that's the kind of thought that would nee to be in play here to deny her the win if she got there. (But we've go a long way to go until that happens.)

Hopefully this isn't completely obvious - apologies if it is.

S34 was taped before S33 aired, yes? If so, were S34 players given insight into S33 in order to gain perspective on Zeke and Michela or perhaps even shown the episodes?

Maybe I'm reading too much into the situation, but from the two-hour premiere it seemed like the other contestants were talking about those two as if they'd already seen S33, so if they hadn't is it just a case of the producers telling them to do so in order for the viewers at home not to be clued into the fact that sometimes two seasons worth of content have already been shot before the next season airs?
